Given the corona trends, they may be hard to reach in November.

Dead voters I assume.

This is kind of what I see in rural SE WI...It's "socially acceptable" to hate on Democrats...but you get past the initial stages there and...well...yeah, everyone is pretty fed up with the entire GOP at this point.  I even started seeing signs saying "Any Functioning Adult:  2020"

2020-07-15 3:02:30 PM
And why, exactly, are they "secret?"  Are they ashamed and don't want it getting out that they're voting for Trump?  Maybe they should examine why they feel that way.

Wait, never mind.  Republicans are incapable of introspection.  Or shame.  Must be fear, then. Republicans know fear.  They're afraid of everything that exists beyond their tiny little whitewashed bubble.

2020-07-15 3:04:45 PM
Many Republicans want us to believe that lots of dead people vote regularly, looks like some of them will get the opportunity to see if that is possible.

Unfortunately, of course. Just because they are hate-filled fraidy cats, mentally ill, and/or extremely gullible and have been hoodwinked by RNJs and/or an Orange Flimflam Man doesn't mean I will celebrate their death.

Democrats have dead and/or furry voters.

Yup, they are just being quiet, Trump actually has a sizeable lead.  The Biden campaign and every Democrat in the country needs to do every single thing possible to ensure that both the WH and Senate are flipped in November, because we're behind now, and every single vote matters.

/I'm not even being snarky, I've talked myself into believing this. ;)

so far, most polls show voters that hate both Trump and Biden are breaking for Biden.

No, it's really not.  The polling for the national numbers pretty much matched the final tally for the two candidates on election night.  It's just we don't elect the president by popular vote.

this is even in the wikipedia article about the bradley effect.

Yeah, laying the groundwork so it will be "believable" when counties with 62,000 people somehow cast 213,400 votes for Trump.

His voters are secretstupid.

Fixed.

Here's another poll result showing how completely and utterly detached from reality a sizable portion of the voting public is:

Making America respected around the globe: 45% approve, 55% disapprove
You cannot have the slightest farking clue what's going on in the world if you think Trump is "making America respected around the globe". What planet are these people from? What weird alternate reality do they inhabit where some respectable version of Donald Trump has not been shiatting all over our standing in the world? And 45% live in this reality? Christ!

"The media consistently reports that Biden is in the lead, but voters remember what happened in 2016. The specter of a secret Trump vote looms large in 2020," Monmouth University Polling Institute director Patrick Murray highlighted."

Yes. A perfect storm of lackluster campaigning by Hillary, a 30+ year right wing smear campaign against the Clinton name in general and Hillary in particular, a conspicuously-timed announcement by Comey 3 weeks before the election that the FBI was re-opening an investigation into Clinton's email usage, and a smattering of "she reminds me of my mother-in-law" misogyny sprinkled on top. And a side-item of "She's pretty much got it in the bag" commentary in the lead up to election day.  All of that combined to convince a relatively small number of low-information voters in a few key states that while Hillary was objectively better qualified for the job, it's be cool to vote 3rd party on a lark.

all this and every other article like it is laying the groundwork for Trump stealing the election.

Yet.  Given election security around electronic machines expect more than a few surprising results from districts that everyone thought would go Democratic

No, you can't audit the results.  The machines correctly record every vote and so there's no need for a hard copy, cryptographic security or even anything more complex than "admin: password" on the login screen

The idea of the "Secret X Voter," is the dumbest farking shiat I've ever heard. Especially considering their supposed support for the loudest asshole around.

2020-07-15 3:38:07 PM
I approve of the "Trump voters are lying to pollsters" idea. It's a super great way to motivate Biden voters to get to the polls.

"Sure, it looks like Biden is ahead by 8%, but remember in 2016 trump got 5% more voters in the election than responded to pollsters. It's closer than it looks!"

"Secret voters" or not, Trump actually just barely eked out his win. 80,00 votes total, between Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania are what gave him the win.

To repeat that he has to win every state he did before, and these 80,000 votes. If he loses even one state, he has to make up for it with another state with the same or more electoral votes. Trump has been losing voters, and I know of nobody who has switched over to being a Trump supporter. It's always the other way around. I'm not saying it will be easy for Biden, and we all still have to get out and vote, but Trump only actually won by 0.0615% of the vote in the first place, and like I've said, I've only seen him lose votes, not gain any.

STILL, GET OUT AND VOTE. DON'T ASSUME THAT THIS IS A 'GIMME' FOR BIDEN!!!

2020-07-15 3:40:48 PM
They were secret last time. Michael Moore, in predicting a Trump victory in 2016, said not to underestimate the mischievousness of voters, like when Minnesota elected a pro wrestler to be governor (Jesse Ventura). He wasn't even a major party candidate (Reform party).

The voting booth is one of the last places in the world where no one can judge you, not even your spouse. Trump was a Molotov cocktail for people to throw at the system.

2020-07-15 3:41:31 PM
Secret voters... is that what we call 'ballot stuffing' now?

2020-07-15 3:41:33 PM
My theory.  The deplorables are going to fully support Trump to the bitter end.  They have invested everything they are in Trump and are prepared to go down with the ship.  Forget about these people.  They are an extremely loud, but relatively small group.

In the large middle are the "vanilla" Republicans and the very large bloc that voted for Trump believing that his campaign was a smokescreen for an actually moderate Republican.  These people now know the truth about Trump and are frankly, sick of his shiat.

They may not want to admit it publicly, but I bet you they will mostly go Biden's way.
