Most of the powerful are neither civil, nor do they practice any traditional values worth saving.

There are a few exceptions, but very few.

Cancel culture is bullshiat. Cultures change and espouse new values. It's what they do. Change or die, motherfarker.

Bari "safetyism" Weiss: STOP SILENCING ME! STOOOOOP SIIIILENCING MEEEEEE! (Repeat at least 100 times)

America: (Donning ear plugs) SHUT UP ALREADY

Bari Weiss: Whine. You'll miss me when I'm gone, blub blub blub blub.

No, Bari, we won't miss you. We promise.

You can join your friend Milo Yannapalos in the irrelevance.

I had never paid much attention to Bari Weiss before she resigned from the NYTimes.

The more I learn about her, the more I suspect I didn't miss much.

I'm mostly offended by how many dimwits and liars end up in positions of power and influence.  Of which Weiss is a prime example.

2020-07-15 7:38:43 PM
18 members of the NYT rebuked her when she live tweeted from the situation room. She claimed there was rancor and chaos when her colleagues tweeted, um, are you at the same meeting we are, because nothing of the sort is happening here.

Methinks she went around pissing people off to the point where she was asked to leave to save them from having to fire her.

I still don't know (and barely care) who she is. Apparently she was really hung up on Israel, but I know nothing else about her. Can I get a cliffs notes on her?

I had an acquaintance do the "whine about cancel culture" thing so I asked them who had actually been cancelled because of cancel culture, as opposed to just fired for cause.

Their response was "I don't know, lots of people.", and when I pressed them to actually name someone they pivoted to complaining about safe spaces on campus.

Even the people who complain about cancel culture don't legitimately think it's a real thing.

Oh her. I've seen her on Maher a few times. Every time was a stark subtraction from the proceedings. Everyone around the table had a look on their faces like, "what did I do to deserve this."

When conservatives complain about whiny libs, that's their mental image.

She's a conservative shiatstirrer hired by the Times to assauge conservative complaints about how "liberal" the New York Times is as an organisation.  Her most recent contribution was helping Bennet get Tom Cotton's "The military should be unleashed on the civilian population" OpEd into the paper.

Jesus Christ that was just brutal. The fact that she actually proved in that interview that she didn't know her ass from a hole in the ground, she relied on them to try and confirm her biases, and actually was trying to look at her phone to find talking points was truly appalling.

Way to twist the truth.  Not everyone agrees with your "black uber alles" philosophy.  He was demonized for making a "f*ck you, America" gesture.
It was deliberate and malicious to folks who view the national anthem as a symbol of the USA.

Regardless of the decades long personal feud between these two politially opposite writers, the fact remains that she was harassed and bullied out of her job by cancel culture liberals-- the second one in a month from a newspaper which used to stand for journalistic integrity.  The progressives on fark whine daily and mightily about Fox news, but when their side uses the same tactics out come the strawmen and every other logic fallacy going. Aye, you need to go back to those threads and actually read them.  I objected to the Washington Post interjecting themselves into an Alabama political campaign by timing the release of their Moore hit peice after the Republican primary and right before the election.  All's fair in politics but that was being a political tool for the Democrats.

You are turning from being funny into some kind of horrid person.  Go back to being funny.
