Alas, no more Ducks games for a while, so no interesting hockey.

Given the current state of the roster, there might not be any interesting playoff hockey for a few years.

No California teams at all, while every Canadian team that isn't Ottawa plays the qualifiers (one of whom will definitely advance with Winnipeg and Calgary facing each other).

Blackhawk vs. Oilers will be a good matchup. I want Athanasiou to play well so the Red Wings can rue the day they traded Kirk Maltby Lite.

Question for the commissioner: Are the play-in or seeding games count for badge purposes or is it only the final 16?

Historically, it's 1 thread per day... you don't have to watch all the games, just post in the thread...  So play-offs are play-offs.  I'd vote that they count.

Seconded. They all count for the badge.

Time to stock up on goon juice. I am just happy to see hockey again. I just hope they all stay safe and healthy.

Oilers/Flames on the first night. At least they'll get their fighting up to speed quick!

I'll say it again, we NEED a Toronto/Carolina series.  The sheer insanity will draw ratings like never before.

While that would be good, it also means that Toronto moves on and we just can't have that...

As a Sabres fan I am, once again, left out of the fun.  As such, my loyalty is negotiable.  Tell me who I should root for, why I should be pulling for them, and what you're willing to offer to get my support.

Calgary to win it all. In Edmonton's rink, after taking them out somewhere along the line to get there. Edmonton would be obliterated by angry mobs.

Amen.

Exhibitions games no, since they probably won't be broadcast coast to coast. Use any such threads to brush up on your GIF skills.

And morning-after posts are on the honour system. You should have at least seen part of a game at a pub or somewhere else offline, or followed along on a phone app.

Exceptions can be made for catastrophic injury or unavoidable events like wedding and funerals, and Acts of God. Appeals can be made, and will be adjudicated by former badge-holders in good standing. In cases of disputes, final decisions will be made by a panel of Farkers whose teams have been eliminated.

Offer void where prohibited.

Support the Leafs.  I can think of no greater form of protest, they're fun to watch and their superstar is American.
