DAFUQ?

Got 20 seconds in- that is *not* a sabot round.  A sabot round is a subcaliber penetrator with a discarding sabot around it that holds it in the barrel.  You had one job military.com....

*THIS* is a farking sabot round.

Sidenote- I have an almost identical round on my desk.  Makes a great paperweight

Rail gun with some sort of explosive propellant?  I thought the entire idea of a rail gun was an EM charged system accelerating a slug at super speed.  Aside for a railroad mounted gun, is there another type?

I loved shooting the 203. I hated dragging it and a vest full of grenades up and down mountains for a year.

Looks like they somehow crossed up the sabot, recoilless, and railgun.

Also, how can these chuckleheads not get actual high quality slow motion footage? The freaking How Ridiculous guys can afford it and they're dropping bowling balls off a weather tower in Perth.

I'll trade you for the M60 I humped around for 6+ years. I was a REMF but one of the only experts at shooting it in my units. The 118th Ord Detachment was so small, we had to borrow an M60 from the 11th ADA Brigade (SCUD Buster Brigade) we supported during Desert Shield/Storm.

I thought the railgun shoots a sabot, and I'm pretty sure the sparks etc you see aren't propellant.
