felching pen: Matlock is out on Blu-Ray VHS? I gotta score me that boxed tape set!

My sister watched Matlock as a teenager. Then again, she also watched Little House on the Prairie.

farking millennials. We used to  hang out in front of the liquor store looking for guppies to buy us alcohol without dressing up. We used good old bullshiat and money to score alcohol. The try harder generation keeps on finding the hardest ways to get attention

This... Is the wrong attitude.
Find a better way.
This is exactly the shiat we would have come up with. Instead we knew places to mail for legit fakes or had older brothers and cousins.

At least they're wearing masks

Gen X here. I like Matlock. I record them on my DVR. He was a very talented, personable actor. The stories are kind of predictable fun. Nancy Stafford was a brilliant stone cold fox.

Matlock has some weird scenes.
One where Matlock was eating soup in his kitchen then  his African American assistant and his girlfriend showed up and in this awkward silence Ben takes few slurps of soup and kept winking and pressuring them to stay and have soup with him the way a guy cruises for handjobs at a soup kitchen.

I used to get alcohol when I was underage.

TFA plan is better than some of my own.

I really started to think that the Millenials were ushering in the end of times for everything that I stand for and is cool in this world, but this new generation is making up for their sad shortcomings every chance they get.

These kids remind me of a less apathetic me.

I told some that asked me to buy blunts for them, to " put on your mask and maybe no one would ask your age" .

school play.  I cant even remember which one it was.  On of our friends played the part of an old man and was dressed up and had full makeup to look like it.
We took him to a liquor store afterwards and he easily bought a couple bottles of booze, no questions asked.  We were able to hit 2 more stores before they all closed for the night.

/end csb

so in my experience, it can work.

Getting booze as a teen is a problem far older than I am, so definitely not modern. I applaud the younger generation's desire to get wasted.

The youngest millennials are 23.

This is... hilarious. And pretty impressive.

You'd think a granny buying Four Loko would be a dead giveaway, though.

Not so much book smarts, but street smarts.

I laff. Good on ya kids. Your parents are dopes.

Is Matlock the only fictional character name that is also used as a verb? Hamlet doesn't count because it's been shortened to "ham."

as do I. we just asked adults to buy it for us.

Too bad Muslims don't drink.  Those burqas and niqabs would really come in handy.

The problem with this approach is they'll become so enamored of it, they'll consider it cool and dress that way all the time.

Man, I always get ID'd, mask or not. And I'm farking 51.

"Black don't crack," aside, I don't know how these kids get away with that shiat. And I'd applaud them, except for the fact that someone is not doing their job.

Yep, gonna bring race into it. This has got to be rural and suburban white areas. Cool, what the fark ever. Just hope those darlins don't end up getting hurt or killed. I'd prefer they find a wooded area, and spark up, but for some reason getting high in certain states is ten times worse than developing problems with alcohol later on.

Enjoy your life kids. To paraphrase Mr. Alice Cooper, "schools out forever," and mom and dad just lost their jobs.

Fark it. Find your happiness where you can.

I've been thinking about this exactly and seeing NOONE ever asked to show their face when ID'd

I've also noticed it is VERY hard to age someone while they are wearing a mask...

Not when you are very bald or have gray hair.  Although I did have a baseball cap on and a mask on and got carded last week.  I usually only get carded at the places that have to enter the persons birthday on every sale.
