The Obama administration cracked down on nursing homes with infection control problems.

That's all you need to know. Obama did it, so it had to be undone.

So, any of you regular trump-apologists around? Care to explain how this was actually a good thing, reversing course on cracking down on nursing homes being lax with their safety practices resulting in the death of their patients?

So, would hillary have been so much worse as president had she NOT backtracked on this thing? Would for-profit organizations not being allowed to murder their patients for an extra few bucks have stripped you of all your precious freedoms?

Did Trump appoint some sort of panel to make these decisions about conditions in nursing homes?

I would call this premeditation. His administration is fully farking aware of the dangers and is playing dumb just to dodge blame. An abnegation of responsibility

My prediction is some variation on "You can't make an omelette without cracking a few eggs. Small business is the backbone of the american economy. Government overreach stifles capitalism.  If you were a true republican you could afford homecare from a doctor in the comfort of one's own domicile."

Thanks, Obama....for caring, at least.

....well - if you own stock in one of the healthcare companies that operate these facilities, less regulations, less responsibility = higher earnings, better share value.

/Yeah, it's pretty twisted

Has he presided over anything that did not actively make this virus worse? I'm past the point where I consider this deliberate democide. I can't believe there are so many enablers. Now, the banality of compliance under purges under Stalin and Mao make a lot more sense.

That's funny, because the invisible hand to Smith was literally the hand of his god. Enjoy the afterlife, nana.

Any time someone calls out "job-killing regulations" it's worth remembering that the alternative is people-killing safety problems.

They don't care about dying people, though, so that shouldn't have any real effect.

The rule still hasn't taken effect, but will, barring unexpected changes to administration policy, if Trump is reelected.

Gawd I hate defending this administration, but I see a problem blaming this for deaths - yet.
