That piano has the sound from uprights that I absolutely love. What a shame.

I kind of love that Billy Joel stops for pianos on the side of the road and fights to keep them alive. 

Takes 'Piano Man' to a whole new level.

There are some beautiful bars made from pianos. If I had the skill and energy, I'd take in a dumped piano.

I learned on Wait Wait Don't Tell Me that Neko Case has a habit of getting free pianos from Craigslist and other sources. She could put It in the pasture with her other freebies.

I've got a Steinway upright from the 1890s like this one:

Ivory keys and all.  I have no idea what I'm going to do with if (when) I have to move.  All four chords I know sound great on it.
