The GOP's method is to cut taxes to the rich, then get rich donors to fund their campaign propaganda.  They don't expect to receive anything anything from, or to uphold any promise to, regular voters.  Spend enough $ to air enough commercials demonizing your opponent and you can win.

So to the GOP, big donations are the start of the whole process.  But big donors can choose to just sit an election out, and that's what seems to be happening.  And then the whole model breaks down.  No big donors = no commercials = no support.

For the Democrats, on the other hand, campaign contributions are the tail end of the process.  Voters are already engaged, convinced, and giving.  The money just lets you scale faster & further.

Sounds like a grade-A way to push the fundraising staff toward foreign, malevolent sources.

Wait, they already went that route...

I'm a little excited for November, but scared too.

Partly scared that the republicans' cheats will be effective, as they have been before, and that the democrats are going to find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, as they have before. That seems like a low probability this time, but... what if Biden has a really bad debate performance or two? It could happen.

On top of that, I'm both excited and scared that the democrats will win in a landslide. I'm really hoping it goes this way. But what happens when the narcissist-in-chief, who still controls the US military and has the nuclear launch codes, starts seeing headlines like this:

TRUMP FAMILY SENT PACKING
TRUMP - BIGGEST LOSER IN US HISTORY
MASSIVE LOSS FOR REPUBLICANS WITH TIES TO TRUMP
TRUMP PRESIDENCY AN UTTER FAILURE COMPARED TO OBAMA AND HIS HUGE.... HANDS

and so on. I'm just... concerned about his mental health.

Didn't Jason Chaiffitz say that the only reason he ran for Congress was to parlay it into a sweet gig on Fox News? Or was that someone else?

Yeah, don't change your policies so they appeal to more people or anything stupid like that. Just figure out how to better fleece the rubes you've already got using technology.

Can't do less than $1.  But maybe you can just jam up the server.

All the fundraising in the world won't change the fact that the Republican senate are traitors to their oaths and the constitution.  Pay for all the lying ads you want, most of us just aren't that stupid.  Bye.

"During the lunch meeting with senators' top aides, NRSC staffers warned that if Republicans don't improve - by investing in list-building, advertising regularly on Facebook and increasing email solicitations - the outlook was bleak not just for 2020, but for 2022 and 2024."

Gee. I wonder why they think that Facebook would be friendly territory for them?

Biden would do a debate in order to kick Trump when he's down, to help cement victory. Remember 2016 and the slow drip drop of bullshiat that screwed Clinton over, culminating in Comey's October surprise? Pound Trump down as often as possible so that doesn't happen again.

Male sure you don't start to order MÂGA swag online, load up your cart, and leave your browser (tab) there for a couple of days, as that screws up their inventory systems, preventing others from ordering those items because they're pending on your idle browser tab.  Then they order more inventory and end up having too much, and their expenses go up. Because that would hurt them, so don't do that (wink wink).
