With LC faltering (OK, completely imploding) yesterday, now is the time for Man U to make a move to the top 4.

Go Man U!

I'm kinda rooting for SHAM to take away points from the top 7, but if MANU win, I hope they keep up their highly entertaining form. They've been a joy to watch for the first time since Fergie.

Oxford and Wycombe currently scoreless at Wembley in the League One playoff final.

Last time Oxford played in the second tier in 1998-99, the second tier was called the Football League Division One, they were playing in Headington at the Manor Ground, everyone still called them Oxford United, and I was living a few blocks away from their ground.  Good times those.

I learned that a few days ago watching The Death of Stalin on Netflix. It makes sense if you've seen it.

In other news, my 3pm meeting canceled at the last minute, so I get to see the first half hour before I have to put it back on mute.

And then Armstrong intercepts and scores for the Saints.

Very awake as they take the lead.
Martial gets the ball on the wing, cuts in a hits upper v on the near post.
2-1

ouch.

Halftime, and I am not sure Southampton will come out and equalize in the 2nd half.  I expect one more goal from United.

he was pressured

it was pure brilliance until that point

i wish he had scored, because that would have been on the highlight reels forever

picks pocket, runs around guy on ground while ball goes the other way ...

he was pressured at the end, so miss wasn't a shocker

Make the season over by the New Year?  Not sure I like that.

(takes a look at the FFPL scores for this gameweek) Exactly *2* of us had a score above 0... and those were +10's. Between sides that couldn't be bothered to show up and horribly-incinerated bankers, this has to go down in FFPL history as one of the worst gameweeks ever.

2020-07-13 6:29:46 PM
Oh, and ManUre? Just when you had a chance to try to improve your chances of making it into the CL (now that Citeh has been allowed into the CL next season) you let *SOUTHAMPTON* score a stoppage-time winner to claim a draw. The fans will be very unhappy with this result (except for the Citeh fans, who are all probably snickering).

Too get all the games in they are having to play at odd times.

The centralisation I absolutely get. That centre being one of the hottest places in the country I don't. Even if it saves TV production a lot of money it can't be healthy to yo-yo body-clocks.

JoMo went on quite the tirade related to that decision, and despite my seething hatred for the man I have to admit - he's right. That decision is so laughably awful that even Mourinho looks reasonable by comparison... let that sink in.

Wigan have erased their entire season's goal deficit in a single half by staking a 7-0 lead against Hull at the break and have since added another for good measure. Lulz
