(The Daily Beast)   Rudy 9-11 admits that there is no tax audit going on with Trump's taxes, the real problem is that Trump doesn't want to turn his taxes over to "Soros-elected, anarchist DAs" that are getting "paid by Soros". Well that should help, thanks Rudy   (thedailybeast.com) divider line

Before this gets going, Rudy should know that "Anarchist District Attorneys" is the name of my Emma Goldman/Peter Kropotkin/John Jay/Johnny Rotten/Emma Hardinge Britten Neo-Spiritualist Themelic  Tanpura drone shoegaze Balinese math rock cover band. Just so that's clear, Rudy.

"We're just curious about this payment from 'Pooty the Poot Poot.' That's your notation in the ledger, and you apparently took a picture with it, which you had framed. Just curious. Dying to know really the story behind this one."

The IRS said from day one that there's nothing holding him back from releasing his returns. The audit thing is bullshiat. As his ilk is fond of saying, if he's not guilty of anything, he has nothing to worry about.

That's OK. The NY AG has some light reading to catch up on. Where we might just point and laugh, they can bring charges he can't wave his magical pardon pen at.

I'm also interested in any audit that lasts 20 years.  If you've farked up your taxes so much that the IRS is still working on it 2/3 of a standard federal career, you dun goofed hardcore.

My favorite is the claim that the issue of releasing Trump's taxes was litigated by the American people during the election and by electing Trump it proved that nobody cared about his tax returns.

Fark you! I care and want to see them!

What if there is actually nothing wrong with Donnie's taxes, but Vlad is just telling him not to? Because he can.

Why indeed.  Deep thoughts with Rudy and Maria.

More likely there is nothing that, on the surface, would appear to be illegal.  But what they really fear is that the SDNY with OTHER evidence and knowledge about illegal activity by Trump and the Trump organization would suddenly be able to make the connection with what is in the returns.  That's why they are so scared to have the returns turned over.  Because they can't rely on the opaqueness of the returns themselves to prevent being exposed.

All these tax returns have by and large-maybe not the last one-but all of them have been audited, all of them have either been passed on or settled."

Wait, go back to that last part.

Exactly. Tax returns in conjunction with loan records from deutsch bank and any correspondence from the accountants could show bank fraud or tax fraud. Probably both at the very least. Add in money laundering too. I mean, it's not like DB has had issues with that kind of thing before.

Plus, if Deutsche bank turns over internal records showing that SARs filings were quashed by senior bank officials that is another avenue of investigation. Aaaaand, bank records will also show where Trump's money was coming from and where it was going.  Who were the cosigners on his loans?

It's way bigger than just tax returns.

What's going to be on them that isn't already evident by his actions or isn't already a known thing? Dude has been the laughingstock of first New York and then the whole country for decades... and still won.

You think you can sit down and show his taxes to a Trump supporter and suddenly they'll realize what human slime he is? You'd sooner have better results explaining to a Democrat resistance hashtag neo-lib that they can't blame everything on the Russians and that Trump is the tip of the iceberg of an incredibly rotten system.

Thing is, despite Trump's conviction to the contrary, debates are probably much better for Biden. It'll undercut their "Biden can barely do English" nonsense, and Clinton's polling was always strongest after seeing her on stage with Trump.

Trump the loser has spent a lifetime stumbling and fumbling from one failed business to another. His endless trail of bankruptcy and debt may well have taken decades to follow. His ineptitude at business is only exceeded by his total and abject failure in being a human being.

No one that makes >$1mil a year wants other people to see their taxes.

If the average 1040ez filer got a look at all the trickery and flat-out bullshiat that wealthy utilize to pay as little as possible, we'd have an immediate tax revolution overnight.

The sheer number of little tricks and provisions for the wealthy slipped into the tax code over the years is staggering.

It's likely the main reason he doesn't want his taxes shown. Not that he necessarily did something illegal, it's that he utilized enough bullshiat that he probably didn't pay any taxes at all. He knows what would happen if the average Joe who takes an annual reaming from the IRS finds out his orangeness got away with paying diddly squat
