I don't know what I expected, but those African wild dogs are really cute and adorable.

It can't, of course, be any kind of priority while Covid-19 is ravaging the human population, but I hope someday the world can find a pragmatic way to protect wild animals from diseases like rabies and distemper. I think it would be especially momentous if we could eliminate diseases. like rabies, that pose a risk to humans while bolstering the health and numbers of wildlife.

Pittsburgh zoo had a great exhibit on them, very interesting to see live. Sadly though 8 years ago, a 2 year old kid fell in (I think parents sat him on railing) and died from them/fall. They closed the whole thing and moved the dogs to other zoos.

African Wild Dogs are truly amazing, packs have been known to take down adult leopards.  They are also incredibly efficient hunters, they have the highest success rate of any African predator thanks to the complex pack hunting strategies they employ.
