Donnie, calling Vlad up to say, "dude, I think they're on to us" isn't a "cyber-" anything.

"Look, we stopped it," Trump told Thiessen.

Oh. Okay. Well I guess that's that, then. They'll never try ever again.

Why would any sane president reveal his country is secretly committing acts of war against another?

Wow, Obama, Hillary, fake polls, silent majority and "people like me!" All in one delusional run on sentence

We probably installed a hardline from the back of our CIA and NSA mainframes directly into the FSB.  But don't worry, Trump personally set the password.

Because you have the planning ability of a six year old who took cookies and tried to blame it on the dog by putting crumbs in his bowl but forgot the very obvious fact that a dog can't open a twist-off jar.

Now he can claim that any sort of election interference by Russia is perfectly normal retribution for the 2018 hacks, and most certainly not because they're doing it for him. If he wins, meh, and if he loses, it's illegitimate.

It's a moron's idea of 12-D chess.

"When pressed as to why he didn't talk about it, Trump said "because they don't like me to talk, intelligence says, 'please don't talk intelligence,' you know sometimes intelligence is good, and sometimes you look at (James) Comey, and you look at (John) Brennan and you look at (James) Clapper, and I'm supposed to believe that intelligence? I never believe that intelligence." "

So, buying them a new server farm and upgrading them to the G6 Platinum package is a cyber attack in Two Scoops world, eh? Nice work.

Madam Secretary conducted a cyber attack against Russia in 2018. I think maybe he thought that was real.

Great, two people who don't know anything related to reality.  It's nice they gave us a heads up.

Intelligence comes to me with tears in their eyes and says 'sir, please don't talk about it.' But I know J Edgar Hoover is smiling down from heaven right now.

2020-07-11 10:40:52 AM
I guess hacking in to their servers to fix some bugs and inefficiency in their code, making it more effective, is sort of a cyber attack, right?

2020-07-11 10:43:19 AM
Did he send them a sick meme that totally burned them?

2020-07-11 10:43:20 AM
I'd love some details so I could laugh my ass off.  Did they DDoS the office of a troll farm?   Did they hack a Russian "server" that's basically a Dell Optiplex under a folding table?  Did they plant backdoors in one of some dude's 15 VMs he uses to shiatpost on whateverchan?

2020-07-11 10:43:58 AM
The whole obsession with his "silent majority" cracks me up, because he'll ride that all the way into federal prison after his landslide loss in November.

He needs to believe that the best case scenario for him will play out, no matter what the facts actually say, or how impossible that scenario actually is. I bet his favorite thing a decade ago was "The Secret" - where simply believing in something strongly was enough to make it a reality.

The Russians are doing cyr attacks. They send their most important, biggest diplomat to Donnie. He says, "Cyr, that last bit of classified information left us in tears. Do you have another one cyr, so we can be amazed that you are the best and smartest keeper of classified information?"

No, the INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES cyberattacked the IRA.  This is just Trump taking credit for the few good acts he didn't get around to stopping the better people beneath him from doing, as usual, just like he took credit for what few sanctions against Russia that Congress literally forced him to impose even as he's been fighting them tooth and nail not to.

It's a VERY technical technique used by The Cyber technicians

Oh, and probably warned Vlad well before the attack so he could move the IRA resources elsewhere.

Not to mention that admitting live to a digital crime against a business in another country out loud is going to give plenty of leverage to Russia to cry foul diplomatically and excuse FURTHER favors to them.

You know what?  I believe him.  I think for once Farkface Von Clownstick is telling the truth.

I mean, Putin recently won his election with, what, 99.2% of the vote?  Imagine if we hadn't cyberattacked them and messed up their elections?  It would probably be 99.4%!

I do agree that he is probably nuts.

Trump must have sent a strongly worded letter IN ALL CAPS to Russia.

We know this because he's been the toughest POTS ever to Russia.

I'm not worried. President West will get to the bottom of any malfeasance.  He'll be even tougher on North Korea and Russia then you can believe.

Geez, Putin is thinking, " I wonder, it worked once..."

He couldn't stop because he didn't know about it but now that he's found out he's making sure to give Putin a belated heads up.

This is a bullshiat PR move to bolster his claims that "no president has been tougher on Russia than I have" which is the complete opposite from the truth. No president has ever gargled the balls of the bear more willingly than you Donnie boy.

Sure and it resulted in Putin changing the constitution to ensure his leadership for life.  If this is true (which it isn't) it did nothing and failed spectacularly.

It was really the biggest cyber we got... I mean it was just a beautiful cyber you know, the best. Nobody builds cybers like the USA... and to think crooked Hillary wanted us to stop making cybers.

Glad to hear the US is actually doing something against Russia. At some point the appeasement needed to stop. We haven't quite drawn a red line but it was getting ridiculous.

I've been avoiding enabling video in meetings but was required to for a really important one on Thursday.

Of course, instantly forgot people could see me and rolled my eyes extravagantly at something in the first 30 seconds.

Rollee didn't notice thank fk.

I'm not sure sending Putin a rickroll link because you were feeling a little punchy counts as a cyber attack.

2020-07-11 11:36:14 AM
I think I believe him. I find it completely plausible that he would have had our military conduct cyber operations against dissonant or opposition groups within Russia at the behest of pooty poot.

2020-07-11 11:39:50 AM
When opening up ACLs on the major carriers routers to allow Russian IP ranges the "A" doesn't stand for attack.

The sane ones don't, the operations are conducted and nobody admits to anything. It's the ones that are basically overblown petulant children constantly looking for validation to look tough or smart in front of their desired audience that would openly admit to something like this.

Trump is entirely incompetent when it comes to any duties dealing with our government and the sooner he is gone and forgotten the better for us all.
