Ah, Joe maybe forgot this is different than his first pre-internet presidential campaign and everything he says now will draw national scrutiny. That explains why I saw him in a red hat saying "drill baby, drill" at that rally in North Dakota after muttering something about being valedictorian at all six colleges he got degrees from.

And where was his mask???

Biden shouldn't have said that, ok?

Fracking is a bad irresponsible practice that puts people and communities at risk, and claiming on one hand that climate is the biggest thing threatening our planet and on the other hand stating that "fracking isn't off the table" sends a mixed message.

What do I win?

This is so disappointing. But it is in no way surprising. The potential for a fracking ban or any reduction in fossil fuels at all was what had so many people hating Bernie, right? Dems don't want fossil fuel reductions. They want "investment in new technology" which requires, of course, increases in fossil fuel use with the possibility of some minor reductions in the far future, with potential large reductions in the far, far, future. The Dem voters have never expressed a majority that wanted fossil fuel reductions. Reductions would require reducing fossil fuels.

tl;dr: Biden's being a normal Dem voter there.

To be fair, Obama didn't take nuclear or clean coal off the table either, but rather made it more difficult for both, since no no nuclear power plants were built, a comprehensive review was conducted after Fukashima, and the EPA released stronger emissions regulations for coal plants.

Trump has all sorts of flaws and I wish he wasn't the only option besides voting socialism. I didn't vote for him in 2016, but I thought it was fu watching him hammer the Republicans in the primaries.  I was shocked he secured the nomination. I was even more shocked when he won the election. This is purely a lesser of two evils decision.  I think a Biden administration will be more damaging than 4 more years of Trump. I don't want to lose an arm or a leg, but if I'm voting between the two, I'll give up the arm.

Surrender your boo-tah: There is a tracking ban.

It's called, "the price of oil is so low it is not worth doing"

...and is the only way you can actually get rid of fracking.

You see, no matter how much the fark lefties want to pretend they won the election, the actual US public doesn't let you take something away from them without providing a replacement. You can't just say, for example, "no coal". You have to replace that heating and energy with something, like fracked natural gas. You can't take away fracked natural gas without replacing it with something, like a fully built out electrical infrastructure.

If you try to do so, you'll lose real quick. After you fail in the beginning (banning fracking would require overcoming a Senate filibuster in a razor thinly held Democratic Senate).

So while Biden can't "ban" anything, he will be getting rid of fracking by encouraging the clean alternatives.

It is mildly amusing to read these "Biden isn't following Rose Twitter's 'ban half of America' party line shibboleths" posts, when the fools can't win so much as dog catcher in most parts of the country, and their authoritarian dreams aren't happening anyway even if they got their dreamboat septinugarian somehow in office.

We elect presidents in this country, not dictators.
