Avon and Somerset Police were alerted to the sighting and were "straight out the door" when they received the unusual report.

It may take hours, days, or weeks for American police to investigate a crime.  But at least the Brits have a sense of priority.

They returned to the precinct, where they resumed searching over the internet, vowing not to rest until they had found some naked teens.

Meanwhile, we have to settle for groups of overactive teens and their fundraising car washes.  Typical American prudery.

In early script drafts and concept art, the tauntauns were described as "snow lizards."  Ralph McQuarrie painted several designs that were more lizard-like ... though, those had fur, as well.

Well, not so much as fur as some specialized feathers.  Tauntauns in Star Wars might actually look closer to some dinosaurs than most think.

They might be feathers, but it's kinda hard to tell.  The external pinnae are exclusively mammalian features. The rhinarium/nose leather is also exclusively mammalian.  Well, it may have been present in some proto-mammals but that hasn't been confirmed as far as I know.

I couldn't agree more. I can't touch cider these days, too many negative sense memories.

Apparently they stopped making White Lightning?! I can only assume teenage pregnancy rates in the UK are now zero.

Also heterodont teeth (not all the same kind), which is also an almost exclusively mammalian and proto-mammalian trait.

Call your local PD reporting a group of naked teen girls at a local park, and let me know about the response time. Might want to cover your ears for when those patrol cars break the sound barrier.

OK, however I always thought they were a non-native species the rebels brought with them like happened so much during the age of exploration. It takes a while to domesticate truly wild animals to the point they can carry riders.
