Wouldn't surprise me, the way the country's finances have been managed the last few years.

As Republicans have been saying (amongst themselves, of course, can't have the general public aware of this) for decades, the lower the voter turnout, the better it ends up being for them, especially these days now that they've gerrymandered the everliving shiat out of all the districts to give them the best advantage.  And with a theoretical blue tsunami looming just over the horizon, the right, more than ever, wants to do everything they can do hamstring voters, and this pandemic is the perfect excuse for them to plead poverty as the reason for their inability to fund polling stations.

It's an utter bullshiat excuse, let's be clear, and a fully transparent one at that, but they've never let trivialities like obvious lies stop them.

If the money to secure the future of this country can also be given to rich people, guess what's going to happen

They better hurry and cut taxes for the wealthy, it will really work this time. Maybe even removing taxes on capital gains. You need to do this to keep the markets up and that will make the tax revenues roll in.

Take the money from the police budgets.  Surely they can get by with only a handful of MRAVs

Well, The Simpsons warned the USA, and still they persisted down that path.

Speedy results can be sacrificed if it means security is prioritized. Imagine Wolf Blitzer's excitement when we get to drag out counting ballots until the weekend.

The 2020 election denials will look like this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4U9Yl5CXvcQ

* we closed all polls 24 hours before the election because of coronavirus (like Ohio did)
* the corrupt military used mail-in voting to corrupt the election
* "bad people" were allowed to vote
* we can't allow freeways or free elections because that's Socialism
* this isn't about ME, it's about leftists coming for your penises
* WHO rigged this election.
* The Chinese hate me and were a foreign influence (bad); even if the Russians love me (good)
* Law and order, but only for Republicans to decide
* where's my $$$$ contract with FoxNews for when I've been kicked out of office?
