The Focus is very much like the Fiesta, which can be used as an amphibious assault vehicle.

So if you ever find yourself planning Operation Overlord II: Jaldabaothian Boogaloo but don't want to sacrifice comfort or reliability, head to your nearest Ford dealer.

There was an urban legend in Arizona more than 20 years ago that an employee at Lockheed Martin here took a small rocket booster clandestinely from either the plant or the Air Force base and strapped it to his Datsun. He was doing about 300 mph when he tried to apply the brakes and they disintegrated and sent him into a canyon wall a la Wile E. Coyote.

No . Terminal velocity for falling objects on earth is much slower

Ahh the ol' JATO story.  That ranks right up there with the jackalope in Arizona mythology.

I expect these huge fines give a lot of business to "traffic ticket specialists", who often are (surprise, surprise!) retired cops.
Funny how one hand washes the other.

/just don't speed, dumbass.

I have rationalized that my severe disdain for the Juke is because it looks like it should be an amphibious vehicle, but it most certainly is not.

You can barely get 400 miles out of a Focus, forget doing it in an hour.

He then goes on advising the woman to accept the charge, but then appeal for compensation instead of trying to have the fine wiped. He also offers legal advice.

Worst lawyer ever. Would not retain again. Two thumbs down.

I have no ides how it would work in Italy but accepting the charge in the US, reimbursed for the fine or not, would result in car insurance premiums going sky high.  And that's if you could find a decent company to insure you.

That's more than 30 mph over. You should be arrested on the spot for that.

cretinbob: That's more than 30 mph over. You should be arrested on the spot for that.

Keep in mind that's posted on a highway with a speed limit of 100 km/h, it's not in any residential area. And I would eat my shoe if you ever witnessed anybody driving slower than 110 on the highways where these signs are posted.  120 is about average, from what I saw in driving there daily for over a decade.

10 over is pretty much allowed in a straight line. 80 in a 60 is reckless driving and an arresting, or do Canadian cops spend all their time beating Black folks too?
