Except for that one time it was lupus.

Summary:
Young people can get the virus, young healthy people, and get lung damage. They could walk around and feel fine until their lung damage is significant enough that they need to go to the hospital. Note the younger guy that he had in the radiograph was not obese.

Some younger people like this guy go out in public (he got on a plane) when they're  feeling "just a little sick."

There are a lot of younger people who were previously healthy and not obese and don't have underlying conditions who are appearing normal because they're able to survive their lung damage and don't "feel it" yet. Look at those radio grams of the younger guy and how extensive that lung damage is, inconsiderate he just walked into the emergency room already in that state. Which means he's been walking around with this lung damage for at least several days before he made it to the hospital.

It's great when you're young because you can tolerate damage because you're otherwise efficient. As you get older that changes. As he gets older that will change.

Give them 10-20-30 years and that lung damage is going to come back to bite them in the ass.

Wait till millions of Americans are on mobile oxygen by the time they are 50 years old.

How many times did he verbally assault coach Tomlin in that episode?

Summary:

Everyone is going to get this and there is no cure.  Masks are only a mitigation effort at best.  If you want to avoid this at all costs, isolate yourself.
