It must kill these rich racist dicks that have to pay lawyers $1200.00/hour just to write apologies for them.

I have the backing of my boss to call the cops on ANYONE bothering people about mask wearing, or any other subject that comes across as bullying.  I hope every employer backs their employees when they stand up for the customers.  There's a place near us that made a huge deal out of reopening and celebrating the freedom to move about without masks or social distancing.  Driving by yesterday, I noticed their parking lot is empty.  Glad to see the invisible hand slapping them around.

I love his "apology"

My behavior in the video is appalling (APOLOGiZING OR BRAGGING?)

This was clearly a moment where I lost control and made incredibly hurtful and divisive comments.
I would like to deeply apologize to the Chan family. (I would LIKE TO but I can't really)

I can only imagine the stress and pain they feel. (Because imagination is all I have to replace real empathy)

I was taught to respect people of all races, and I will take the time to reflect on my actions and work to better understand the inequality that so many of those around me face. (I was taught calculus but it didn't stick. I will make this a matter of deep introspection.  Good thing I've never needed it until now.)

Yeah, alcohol doesn't change you. It just removes inhibitions and show the real you. If someone is a racist dick when drunk then that is what they're really like. When they're sober they just know they have to hide it.

That's great to hear, and I agree it's the key to this kind of response - anyone who fears for their job has a harder decision to make when standing up for what's right.  Empowering your organization to make decisions like this is essential.

This is just a narrow example of a general management philosophy that includes "Kaizen" and other systems meant to make sure that an organization doesn't shoot itself in the foot by making people afraid to speak up when shiat happens.

FTA: Stephens writes in the description of the page that it is important to stand up to racists

You cannot coexist with malignant tumors.  With racists as with fascists, it's not enough to just not be one, a good and decent person must be actively and ardently anti-racist and anti-fascist.  That they are often one and the same is simply how it goes.

Get out of this country, racists and fascists.  Want to make America great, you cancerous coonts?   Move your asses to Russia because the First World has no place for you.

This is 100% wrong.  Alcohol is not some kind of truth serum that shows what you really are.  Alcohol is a depressant and anything more than moderate drinking can have some very unintended consequences.

Ya know, it is so much easier to be a good person.

After my Karen episode in 7-11 the other day I felt... something. Like an adrenaline. Like her anger was pushing me into the fear/flight zone they live by.

It went away and I didn't think much of it until I saw a Boy Scout zombie movie and put it on in the background. I'm not into zombie movies but I figured maybe the scouts had unique ways of dealing with it. The best scene was at the end when the heroes escaped in a car and some lady on a hover round took off after them.

During the movie I had similiar feelings. It's that feeling in a zombie of horror movie when you know something is going to happen but don't know what or when. The tension feeling.

So if I extrapolate how I felt to Karen she was in the middle of a fear adrenaline rush. This seems accurate as I have "seen" this feeling in MAGAt posts. The fear factor seems to loom large and it makes them do shiat that gves them the rush.

And after all those words I could be talkin' out of may ass. It is just an observation after actually seeing a Karen in full blown meltdown mode I took away those feelings.

YMMV

I don't know if it's arrogance or denial, but they seem the believe that even though all these other videos of racist rants have gone viral, this video of their racist rant will not.

In this one, you see he even hesitates. But when the Asian-Americans (which I'm sure is not the term going through his head at the time) started taunting him, he decided it was worth risking it.

Good on her.  When I managed a restaurant, I made sure that all my employees knew that they had the authority to fire any customers that were being abusive or disruptive, either to other customers, or to the staff.  And if they didn't feel comfortable firing a customer, to come and get me and I would do it.

We only ever had to kick out a couple folks.  One one escalated to corporate, and thankfully when I explained what happened to the area manager, he was completely on board...

The best thing you can do is let them know they are being watched. That you know what they are doing. And that you don't approve.

These people get away and they think they can get away with it because they think everyone will turn away and leave them to dominate whatever situation is occurring. Sometimes you can simply defuse a situation by walking up, staring, and crossing your arms like a bouncer. Other times? Yeah, use your white privilege and get physically between them. Until we start doing that en masse this shiat won't stop.

So much for personal responsibility.

I've been blackout drunk quite a few times in my youth, and I've never said anything racist. The most I ever did (according to the people who were with me) was take a swing at an old perv who was creeping on one of my female friends.

Violence won't solve this unfortunately. The only thing that even comes close is the unending work of rooting out hate. We might end racism in a millennia, or so, but until then it's not letting people think it's acceptable.

I don't think being drunk is an excuse you should use to get out of comments and things you said.  I also don't think that alcohol just reveals the real you, that's a load of horse shiat.

I have family in AA who are perfectly fine and decent people until they drink.  It's not that everything is buried underneath waiting for a drink, it's that they cannot handle drinking.
