I mainly photograph shelter cats, but I've also photographed shelter dogs in the past. The shelter would post the pictures on their website, which I assumed was helping adoptions.

I still remember the day that I first saw someone come to the shelter with a printed copy of one of the pictures I had taken. They had fallen in love with the cat in the picture on the website and came to the shelter to find her. Luckily she was still there, so she got adopted and went to her new home.

That was a good day.

Nice, but to me nothing beats the photos of them when they get adopted. (Not mine)

Photos like these help keep me from getting a real pet. Too many gross things about them. Owners love to call these things cute. I will stick to fish. But they are awful hard to pet :(
