"He died because he was working too hard for the good of the people."

I am swaying more toward the area of, "He doesn't really have it. He is pretending to so when he is 'cured', it looks like the virus is a pile of nothing."

And if he can promote Trump's miracle drug in the same step, all the better.

You know there is a reason a LOT of the so called "experts", government officials etc trying to talk people
out of using hydroxychloroquine.  Because it is cheap & effective!
Government officials, a lot of health experts etc are heavily invested in an expensive "mandatory" vaccine.
I thought some of you anti-big pharma types would be in favor of a cheap medication that works?
I know I have a friend who has Lupus and has taken it for YEARS "like candy" according to her, and not
one issue.  The use of hydroxychloroquine along with Remdesivir  may cut the death rate, if administered
properly, but like I mentioned, what good would that do "big pharma" if they want to send out a super expensive
vaccine, that would be "mandatory"?  Can't make any money off a proven inexpensive drug.

The president told reporters he underwent a lung X-ray on Monday after experiencing fever, muscle aches and malaise. As of Tuesday, his fever had subsided, he said, and he attributed the improvement to hydroxychloroquine.

You'd think his friend who takes it like candy would secretly hope that hydroxychloroquine doesn't work against COVID-19 because otherwise the cost of it would skyrocket.

There were massive supply disruptions of this drug simply because of speculation and politicians hording it.

It wouldn't stay "cheap" for long.

That study was brought into question when it was discovered that "basic care" included dexamethasone in patients requiring oxygen, which has been discovered to be very useful (indeed, it's currently our single best weapon for those with severe complications.) The other major "study" that claimed effectiveness was removing patients who went into the ICU. So, if you give HCQ to patients who don't get very sick, they don't get very sick? Hmm.

DO NOT run out and start taking steroids. It's not been shown to help at all in mild cases, may increase virus shedding, making you more infections, and steroids have their own set of complications that mandates careful control of dosing and tapering off correctly.

MANY studies have shown that the harm of HCQ exceeds any help in this disease. The reason certain people are pushing them are twofold: One, they're idiots who are convinced this is a miracle cure that will stop the epidemic in their tracks and 2) They've made a significant investment in HCQ and are trying to recoup.

Remdesvir maybe reduces length of hospital stays if given early, but there's a fair amount of caveats here as well.
