A crashed economy is the only way to get rid of Trump.
I thought over 130,000 dead would do it, but people don't seem to care about others anymore, just themselves.

Probably that's the GOPs plan - hand as big a shiatshow over to the Democrats in January and let them clean it up while they sit on the sidelines and biatch.

Republicans want to make the world a worse place for people they don't like, even if they make things worse for themselves in the process.

Economists have created an economic disaster.

US Government won't help state or local Governments
US Government won't help the unemployed
Economists think that states closing down is the worst thing ever
Economists think the wealthy will keep getting richer
Economists think those who are laid off won't recover financially
China will surpass the US as the healthiest economy in the world
Economists think the economy will grow, eventually
Economists were surprised the extra 600 a week actually helped people and the economy

I think I got most of it.

If the republican congress turns this into an even worse disaster i expect texas to flip.

keep in mind trump has 0 (remotely realistic) paths to victory without florida and he hasn't lead there since the first half of march

You mean the spin doctors get a full month to figure out how to deflect the blame for this coming disaster? That sux.

Actually everything i've seen from economists who weren't complete and total dishonest right wing hacks was that lockdowns were essential and the better option than "oh just let people die"

They know the eviction notice is coming soon so they're going to clog up the toilets, put holes in the walls, rip out the smoke alarms and piss on the carpet and let someone else deal with the fallout.

The idea of people staying home because their preferred candidate is ahead IS A MYTH.  Nobody has ever been able to back it up with data, instead the data shows that the front runner gets a bandwagon effect.

Posting stuff like this every time hopeful polling data is show just ends up effectively discouraging people because you're not letting them have hope. that will actually suppress turnout if you keep it up.

if you want to express the sentiment most positively "That's great! let's run up the score!"

Exactly, deaths have a real and significant cost on the economy and death waves even more so.

Remember most of those solid red states haven't been polled. I have heard rumors that the RNC did some  polling in Kansas and even there the Presidential race was tight. I know Wyoming is safe for the Republicans but there could be other states in play that don't have any polling.

Wow, such insight.

Here, observe: "Democrats want to destroy Republicans and everything about them." That's basically the exact same sentiment.

We're all united in one thing: We want to make the world a better place. The problem is, how to make it happen.

This sort of thing isn't helping.

I've said it before. We had YEARS of a booming economy and all it took was a few months to apparently bring it all to its knees. That's a sign of a truly shiatty system. A complete failure for this country.

As long as the Democrats don't throw in a wish list of lefty crap, like they tried before.  We might actually get something passed.

But I don't think Dems can help themselves, they are not actually interested in helping people, they just want to be able to say the Senate Republicans voted no, stealing money from Grandma and the children.

That chart needs to be redrawn at the county level to show the growing disparity between urban and rural areas on a per capita basis. TL;DR: Plague rats love chewing on a blade of grass while showing off their mullets.

I think the pandemic, lack of income or reduced income, less social life, no entertainment, no sports, being stuck home with yapping and nagging spouses or relatives,  harder to make life changes such as finding a new job or new career, the heat wave after the long ass winter is causing mental breakdowns of epic proportions.

A lot of self reflection going on and many don't like what they see. They are starting to feel like everything was a facade, a farce, a lie. They see the rat race for what it is and keeping up the jones is not what it used to be.

Mark Kelly is currently running a commercial bashing McSally for voting against the last bill with the Dem wish list.

It was a political tactic from the very start, if they vote yes we get every thing we want, if they vote no we will bash them over the head with it.

Look, here's the bottom line.  Nothing is going to happen to improve anything until Trump is gone.

If the GOP refuses to admit to that elephant in the room, then all we can do is wait it out.

It gets worse every day.  And still, they do nothing.  And don't farking tell me that there is nothing they can do.  They can.  (impeachment 2.0) They just won't.  Because this isn't hurting them.  And until it does, they will not do anything but watch.

So yet another article showing how they can make things WORSE, but not BETTER, is just pissing me off.

The latter, yes.

The former is a stretch, and to hold that kind of blind belief is to incentivize Dems to as little change as possible (unless you're in the top 9.9%, in which case you're in fine shape).

That's generally what W did, driving the economy toward the cliff, petal to the metal, while handing the wheel to Obama... who got conservatives deeply upset by pulling a series of outright miracles out of his nose... and succeeding anyhow!
The only thing left to debate in 2021 is: weather Donny Drumpf did it on purpose, or through pure incompetence...

Well, if they don't do anything to keep the economy even on life support, there isn't anyone that is going to fix it for a very long time.  because we'll have a literal meltdown and there's going to be a lot of citizens who have nothing at all.  No homes, no jobs, no food.

That said, I expect the Republicans to go all in on that.

I live in a very conservative part of Colorado and I have to say I agree with you.  There are plenty of shiat bird Republicans out there but most have similar ultimate goals as Democrats, it is how to accomplish those goals where we differ.  This opens up for honest dialog.  Remember that fark isn't particularly representative of the country as a whole.
