I like little stories like this.

Cursory search couldn't come up with the screen caps.

I don't remember the specific board but it was on a site devoted to Texas A&M. Somebody posted a story about how his girlfriend knew Rhett Bomar, a QB for Oklahoma, was getting things on the side he shouldn't have. It was a fair amount of detail from what I remember while withholding certain identifying specifics.

For the first and perhaps only time in homer message board history with news concerning one's rival (work with me), the guy was told to put up or shut up with proof rather than instant death penalty calls. The guy went away.

Six months later, the news on Bomar broke. Nothing the original guy said on the homer message board turned out to be wrong from what I remember and I believe his girlfriend was a receptionist at the car dealership at the center of it.

They should have bought it at the Red X in Riverside -- those people know how to keep their traps shut.  lol

Camlin got nervous and deleted the tweet; she was concerned she'd get in trouble or alienate the Chiefs as potential employees of the store.

?? Pretty sure the Chiefs already have jobs.

I agree.  Cute story.

/And I give more farks about this than whatever Khloe Kardashian ever did to make national news

I doubt Red X has cases of Dom sitting around. Not quite the same clientele in North Kansas City as the Plaza area.

I remember that.  It was both a no-show job and a car from that dealership.  The girlfriend of the poster worked at the dealership and gave him all the paperwork.  Of course now, with the NIL legislation, that stuff would be legal.

As for this story, I'm surprised the Chiefs could afford all that Dom Perignon, being that they just paid the man $500M

Briarcliff and The National are nearby (although The National patrons probably just go to Gomer's).

Red X is in Riverside, not North Kansas City, and Kansas City north (yes, it's different and as confusing to outsiders as KCMO and KCKS) has plenty of wealth.

Besides, Red X has one of the best liquor departments in the city. One of the best, I say. Can't believe I'm sticking up for Red X.
