(YouTube)   Someone "fixed" the climax of The Rise of Skywalker by adding Obi-Wan, Anakin, Yoda and Luke Force ghosts. Now get to work on the other two hours and twenty minutes   (youtube.com) divider line

I agree, but enough about JJ Abrams. What did you think of the video?

We Ate the Necco Wafers: mjbok: We Ate the Necco Wafers: Maybe someone's already mentioned it, but these 4 Jedi aren't the only Jedi. Arguably, Obi Wan isn't even a very significant Jedi in the grand scheme of things. And why is Anakin his younger self, but Yoda isn't his bouncy younger self either?

The only people that knew how to be force ghosts were part of the Yoda/Qui-Gon training tree.

Why stop there?

Someone should take that footage, and add all the Syth, too.

And then Jar-Jar, Dr Who, Kirk and Spock, and the cast of Red Dwarf.

LaBlueSkuld: Metaluna Mutant: The ST is what happens when you make connected trilogy rife with continuity but STUPIDLY have neither a overall plan nor the same writer for all three. It's like a serial novel where the author changes each chapter.

I also like how they tried for the theme of "Let the Past Die" when they constantly relied on nostalgia to keep the audience engaged.

"Let the past die," said the seventh sequel of a forty-year-old franchise kept alive explicitly to cash in on nostalgia

I like how this thread is full of people resorting to name calling to defend these movies because all the people that dislike and/or criticize the movies are all immature, sensitive brats.

I am so happy to see other Star Wars fans rip these "newer" movies to shreds.  I saw the first one 7 times back in 1977 (7th grade) and progressively the movies got worse from there.

I was under the impression that when a new Star Wars movie came out, it was perfect from the get go. All the people shout..."Take my money!! Oh I can't wait for the new movie..."

Good to see I am not alone.

You're joking, right?

The first Star Wars movie ended with the protagonist getting the key to winning directly from the disembodied voice of an old, dead dude.

It was a voice of an old dead dude that got Luke to believe in himself and use the farking Force in Star Wars, much as it was a whole bunch of dead people who got Rey to believe in herself and use the farking Force in Rise. No one directly intervened. This just shiats on Rey when she already had barely anything to do over all three movies, much like everybody else for that matter

buntz: It was an enjoyable movie.
Last Jedi was the best of the 3.
They made mistakes with characters in all 3.

What they should be most ashamed about is listening to people crying on the Internet about the Last Jedi and pandering to them.

I didn't like Rose's character in Last Jedi, but she didn't deserve what they did to her in Rise of Skywalker

I'm willing to die on the "Last Jedi was too good for you morons to appreciate it" hill.

That sounds similar to "fixing" a house that was built entirely of windows, and immediately collapsed on itself, by adding a mini-fridge.

In that while a mini-fridge is lovely, it doesn't address the main problem, which is that there is no house.

I don't even want to think about that execrable mess of a movie. My PTSD from it was soothed by the last season revival of Clone Wars (maaaaan that was some masterful storytelling) and I don't want to ruin my recovery.
