Marmite is freaking awesome, just don't spread it on your toast in the same quantities as a five-year-old spreads Nutella.

We had to cancel our ski trip to Marmot Basin this spring year due to COVID. Had just picked up a new set of skis, only trying them a couple times at a local hill, goddammit so much.

Did the genealogy testing and found out I'm more British than Irish. So I figured I try the food. Just bought my first jar, and heeded the warning about slathering toast with the stuff.

It was just like all those after school specials warned me instant addiction would be like.

/discovered I also dig builders tea with milk.
//and accompanying biscuits and marmite toast.
///my dental records and infatuation with vehicles with electrical problems are also explained.

Spread thinly on buttered toast and washed down with a cup of tea. Delicious stuff.

Delicious?  Silly; that's where all the best French artists had studios 150 years ago.

Marmots are nasty things, think rats the size of trash pandas. I wanted to shoot every last person who thought they were 'cute' and were feeding them at high base camp on Whitney. Luckily we found a spot on a rock outcropping to hang our bags so we didn't get them torn apart like some of the other unlucky folks.

British or English?

It's the English who have a thing for tea, really. Plus "British" isn't really a distinct grouping vs Celt / Scots / Gaelic / Anglo Saxon.

Just curious....

This is not the time to be eating exotic game meats, especially under cooked ones.   The irony is, that for all the hell the right has been giving China over eating bats and causing the virus, a pandemic could have easily been started by hunters eating under cooked wild game here in America.  There is a reason it is illegal to bring game meat into restaurants.   And yes, that place that serves venison, that you know about, with all the hunting trophies on the wall, uses farm raised deer.

I think you might be mixing up virus and bacteria.
