Come on, Iran.  I know you have some religious fundies running your country, but don't be like us.

They're already doing better than us by having a national mask mandate.

/even if poorly enforced per TFA

Have they tried protesting America's systemic racism? I hear it helps.

The U.S. is a shining beacon of what not to do. Look to us, and then don't do that.

/Always an upside

What second wave? We plateaued for a while on the first, then skyrocketed back up because we opened too soon for "the economy!"

For a moment, it appeared the restrictions and public fear had worked, as reported new cases and deaths from the virus dropped to their lowest levels in May. But new cases soon rose again, with officials initially saying better testing causes the numbers to spike even as they lifted restrictions to boost economic activity.

They're just like us.

They've increased public burnings of Israeli flags by 40%. Should help.

Who exactly do you think keeps their "fundie" government in power? Their entire population of 82 million isn't being held hostage.

For the 1,000,000th time. We are in the first wave.  When NY or Seattle get it again, that starts the second wave.

Of course, Seattle never got the very deadly, very virulent European strain.

second wave is what those idiots who claimed it was safe to reopen call the current situation where the virus numbers exploded when they did reopen prematurely.

Yep, we are to the point where folks are going to end up still catching Covid19, despite taking precautions. We have allowed this to get out of control.
A co-worker yesterday parrotted the Trump line about more testing has led to more cases. I pointed out this is a deadly disease and if that's the cure perhaps we should stop cancer screenings so we can decrease the cancer rate.
