The only true victim of COVID-19 is Trump.  He was set to coast into a second term on his roaring economy and then people mentioned COVID.  And then they started testing and found COVID in the US and the market plummeted and everyone freaked out.

He does not care about any of the people who have suffered or died of COVID-19.  He cares that people started looking for it here, and they found it, and the stock market went down.  And to his pudding brain, if they had never tested, or never tested so widely, there'd only be fifteen cases in the States and things would have been fine.

They'll be wasting their breath in doing so, because it's a thing he does not want to hear.

If he holds a press conference and someone asks him about it, he'll insult and berate them and whatever news station they're from; and he'll use very-thinly-veiled racial and ethnic slurs if they're non-white, and/or misogynistic slurs if they're female or Jim Acosta. Basically the kind of language which would send you or me to Fark Jail™ for a day or two, even if we quote him verbatim and in context.

If anyone else holds a press conference, it defeats the purpose of trying to ask Trump about literally anything at all.

Nah, he's actually a REALLY nice guy. I was actually surprised when I noticed the Trump sticker.. a couple weeks later it was gone.

He owns a landscaping business (his yard is just gorgeous) and the week we moved into our house he invited my husband to join his fantasy league and invited him over to meet his friends who are all from different backgrounds. While we're talking to him, every person who drove by would slow down to say hello.

Doesn't seem right to vandalize anything of his. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt about the Trump sticker and assume he's had a change of heart, because he's THAT nice. Being a Trumper MAGAt just doesn't fit.

Also, remember Trump has zero concept of reality as we know it. He literally does not realize or understand that people are dying of this, or suffering terribly. Even if you took him to an ICU and he saw people gasping for air or on ventilators, he simply cannot understand that those are people, like himself, breathing their last.

His only reality is what touches him, personally; and by "touches" I mean that in the most literal sense. He has no object permanence. When he leaves a room, things stop existing in that room.

No.  He just doesn't want to know about it.  He thinks that if there's no data, no one else will, either, and he'll look far better than he does now.   It isn't registering that even if there's no actual information on COVID-19 deaths, there's still a huge uptick in excess deaths.

Alternatively, it's legitimately possible that he's genuinely so stupid that he believes that the testing is causing the problem and if it goes away, so does COVID-19.  Which means he has a problem with object permanence, one that most people figure out by age 7.

this is the problem. dumb people don't understand numbers.
if we test 10 people and one person is positive it is 10%
if we test 100 people and ten people are positive it is 10%
that is what we want. a constant or declining rate no matter how many people we test.

if we test 10,000 people and 3,000 people are positive it isn't the increased testing, it is that more people are getting sick. that is the problem and disinformation being spouted by the WH.

when I had it there was no testing unless you were frontline or in an ambulance (quote). the initial numbers are heavily weighted since tests only were given to high risk people. that they are rising now is troubling.

I am still not right three months later. you do not want this. not fun.

In a perfect world where US politician cared about their constituents and presented social distances as their patriotic duty then the extensive testing wouldn't find as many cases as they do now.

Here is a prototype of what he will say, or close to:

"Damn Canadians, they stopped testing and now their numbers are going down."

The facts are that the tests are available for free to any Canadian, but nobody is feeling sick so there is less need for tests. Also our tests aren't American, so they are more reliable.

All the provinces ( states ) report the cases differently, as we attribute here in Quebec Covid deaths to anyone who was infected with covid and died of any reason. In their frame of mind, if you are positive for Covid and because of the pandemic you receive less care for another condition, you still died of Covid as it is a cause in your death. Basically if you die of a medical reason while you are infected here, we count it as a Covid death.


In Canada, there is neither a political reason for under reporting or over reporting.  In the US, many States have a clear political incentive for under reporting.

I'm surrounded by Trumpers in WI. Glad I'm pretty anti-social. The only places I really care about is the Y, grocery stores, and the doctors.

I can't hardly wait to go back to work tomorrow and see my anti-mask co-workers. Then I can listen them to biatch about the media, the protestors, and generally anyone who's inconveniencing their lives.

Never six. Never four. I've never seen her use a regular ellipsis. Any forensic punctuologists out there who can explain this?


It's like etc+explain+etc+I'm probably not going to accept your explanation+etc+because you probably can't explain or are unwilling to explain.

Maybe reverse the two non-etcs.
