Haven't listened to Linkin Park in a very long time.  I remember this video back when it was released, and was always impressed by the Ozymandias theme tie in.  It's refreshing to see artists draw inspiration from the classics in telling a story.

I liked the song, back in the day.  I used to have a video that someone made that combined the song with FFIX cut scenes.

But that was damned near 20 years ago.

And pop music is infinitely worse. So... I guess young people are trending in the right direction?

Hell maybe they'll be playing Rage Against The Machine next...

Pop music was better when ugly people were allowed to play it (not counting Ed Sheeran)

Meh. Dreamy vocals but overdone orchestration.

Wow, I remember it was a huge deal when Gangman Style was the first video to hit a billion views.  Now there are 238 of them.

I played that album on a loop as I was working my way through Memoria (the final dungeon), so that seems totally fitting to me.

Very good fan-made video. I'm sure this is the one you're thinking of, if not, well, here's this anyway.

When I was a kid my older brother and I met them at a rock concert in NYC before they were famous (probably like 1999?) handing out demo tapes. Yes, tapes. I think it had One Step Closer and some other song that I don't remember. My brother bought Hybrid Theory when it came out as a result of the tape, months before it got huge. I met them again at Ozzfest a couple years later signing autographs in like 2002 or 2003 when they were superstars (whatever year Black Sabbath reunited and headlined) and had them sign the demo. Pretty cool guys.

Sometimes I catch myself watching reaction videos. Usually young, 20s and younger, listening to stuff I grew up on.
Seems a lot have good RATM and some of the reactions are fun to watch.

Especially in today's climate.

My brain read that as, "Purging with my kitten."  Which, I imagine, would be infinitely better than that video.

The Camp Freddy stuff completely changed my mind about Chester the same way learning about Prince made me realize I'd been dismissing something rare and amazing.

Want your heart broken?

After Chester's passing they did a show commemorating his life with guests and friends of the band.

But for "In The End" they let the crowd take Chester's part.

I've watched it a few dozen times.  It's never not made me tear up.
