It would be absolutely hilarious if Mexico ended up building a wall. By the way, Canada wants one too.

No. Because he gets angry and makes poopy in his panties.

Sure appears we're turning into one of those.

Perhaps the best, greatest shiathole country. The most luxurious. With some great people, on both sides.

Unpossible. Mexico are the ones bringing diseases and stuff. President Daddy told me, we can't trust those Mexicans, even though some of them are good people.

It's gonna be really fun when the next flu season gets rolling. If we cannot contain the 'rona we cannot contain that either.

There's a sci-fi series where part of Earth history is the US getting cranky with the UN and threatening to deny access to the UN building. In response the UN moved their headquarters to Eastern Europe, whereupon the US threw a tantrum and withdrew from world affairs for a couple of decades. This taught the US that they needed the world far more than the world needed them, and they came back with a far humbler and more cooperative attitude.

One can only hope this is prescient.

(The Cassandra Kresnov series, if anyone's wondering.)

When has the flu season ever been "controlled"? The vaccine is relatively new and not mandatory; generally speaking epidemiologists just sit back and count the number of deaths after the fact.

When the Norteamiranos send their people they are not sending their best.  They are sending frat boys.  They are sending drunk tourists.  They are sending CIA election riggers.  They are sending their racist Karens with unreasonable demands.  And some I am sure, are good people.

But what about the Republicans who voted for him (at least in part) because of his repeated guarantee that Mexico will pay for a big, beautiful wall? Surely they will be unhappy with this obvious instance of Trump completely failing to keep his promise and reconsider voting for him a second time. Right?

Didn't he move the goal posts to say they would pay for it indirectly through better trade terms that he would secure by getting rid of NAFTA? Pretty sure bringing it up would let him tout the go-live of the beautiful USMCA.

Maybe he's playing the long game.  Completely fark up a pandemic so mexico doesn't want us, and they'll ask for a wall and pay for it.

Boom, campaign promise fulfilled.

Actually, that's pretty darn good.  Most people would say muro bello, but beauty, age, goodness and size are the adjectives that can oftentimes go before the noun instead of after, so it's still correct.

I think his quote was "some, I assume are good people".  Which is somehow worse, because it implies he can't personally tell you that there's any good Mexicans he's met.

It's pretty impressive how he managed to trick Soros and Gates to fund the creation of a disease and convince China to unleash it on the world demolishing Trillions in GDP worldwide and risking his re-election in the process just to convince Mexico to pay for the wall. I can't imagine anyone else being able to play 5D Chess on that level. He also play the role of a complete incompetent idiot extremely well to have convinced us all it was actually real and not just the hoax it is. I still can't believe he convinced Soros to pay for 132k crisis actors pretending to be dead in body bags to sell the effect. The Libs are gonna be so mad when all their illegal Mexican voters leave out of fear of a fake virus and grandma wakes up from being "dead" in a few months with a fat paycheck from Soros and votes for trump in November.

I'll be back at the end of summer. Sadly, my goal of being able to say I never lived in Trump's America won't come to fruition, but it was always a bit of a silly thing to hang my hat on anyways. Maybe I can spin the tale that I left when he got elected and I came back to throw his ass out or something.

Why would anyone in their right mind go to the USA for treatment? If I catch coronavirus here in the UK, it won't cost me a penny, even if I'm in the hospital intubated for two months. If I go to the USA, I need to get myself on insurance immediately on arrival, and even then it's going to be some bottom of the barrel Obamacare exchange option that is going to mean paying at least $10k out of pocket in deductibles if I get sick.

Doesn't add up.

Because medical care in Mexico can be spotty and is often cash only.  While cheaper than the US, many US expats in Mexico are retirees, don't necessarily have a lot of cash on hand, they have kept their Medicare which is only good in the US, and may also have private insurance for the US. Also, Mexico has been swamped with coronavirus.
