If only there were a group of skilled laborers who would be willing to take on a job like that for a very reasonable level of compensation. Where ever could you find such people?

Fisher dismissed the concerns. A company attorney, Mark Courtois, called the erosion "a normal part of new construction projects like this and does not in any way compromise the fence or associated roadway."

Enjuhnear here. No, that's not normal at all. That'll be a $10,000 consulting fee, thank you.

That sounds about right. Lamborghinis are shiat cars, purchased by wealthy dopes who don't know any better.

The beginning of every doomed project starts with those words. And people continue doing it day after day.

Not that this project has merit to begin with.

Not only that but a cross-section of the border would have looked like swiss cheese due to all the tunnels long before there was even talk of a wall. My favorite was when authorities found a small car tunnel.

"When the river rises, it will likely attack those areas where the foundation is exposed, further weakening support of the fence and potentially causing portions ... to fall into the Rio Grande,"

When the river sends its currents, it's not sending its best. It's not sending currents like you. It's sending currents that have a lot of problems, and they're bringing those problems to us. They're turbulent. They contain pesticides. They erode.

Some basic ideas of how to get over a wall (feel free to add):

ladder
tunnel
hot air balloon
catapult
tying a rope tied to a rock and launching the rock with a catapult
dynamite
a skilled rock climber
19 century flying machines
pole vaunting

using the flat earth guy's rocket
cheerleader pyramid
just stack a bunch of shiat next to it and make a slope up wall
visualize it
mongols

A company attorney, Mark Courtois, called the erosion "a normal part of new construction projects like this and does not in any way compromise the fence or associated roadway." The company will seek to build drainage ditches to lessen the deterioration, he added.

"There's nothing wrong, but we're going to fix it."

Let it fall in.  It can serve as a monument to the hubris of the builder and serve as a marker of the quality of his building.

Per the article, just wait a week or two and walk across where it fell.

It's not as if bids are accepted from people without the expertise and resources to complete a project, or unreviewed for completeness and feasibility - it really should be described as the 'lowest qualified bid'.

I understand the bid process. A lowest qualified bid is generally going to have corners cut and reduced timelines/items underscoped. The impact of these items come out during the project at much additional cost, time, and stress. A lowest qualified bid almost always ends up costing about as much as a middle bid or even a high bid.

Erosion on a river bank? I are an engineer.

Supercars suck.

Long term upkeep gets more and more expensive.

Any vehicle that goes up in value has not been driven.

The vast majority of drivers suck. Including both you and me.

The vast majority of roads suck.

Pushing the car to its limits really is only for track's, so if you're driving it only to feed your ego, must suck to have money but no self worth

Most end up totaled or rotting, I completely understand why Ferrari limits who can buy new from them and what that person can buy.

/ I'll take a Bentley Continental GT though, something a bit more comfortable and can actually take a speed bump

What a farking idiot. Commercial aircraft fly higher than his "rocket" could ever go. And are safer.

2020-07-02 7:31:40 PM
Listen, Trumpanzees, I built this wall up from nothing. When I started here, all there was was river. Other despots said I was daft to build a wall on a river bank, but I built it all the same, just to show 'em. It sank into the river. So, I built a second one. That sank into the river too. So, I built a third one. That burned down, fell over, then sank into the river, but the fourth one... stayed up! And that's what you're gonna get, you sh*theels: the strongest 3 mile long, 100 billion dollar wall in this "racing toward the 3rd world" shiathole.

*Slight edits for accuracy*
