I don't give a shiat about James Patterson but I love me some Krysten Ritter, Fark you, Netflix for canceling Jessica Jones.

If anything it makes me respect them a little less that they are promoting Patterson.
They both could do much better.

Whenever I'm in the grocery store and I see a James Patterson book it has another name underneath his which makes me think someone ghosts writes his shiat and he just puts his name on it for name rcognition. I could be wrong, who cares. Did I mention Krysten Ritter is awesome and they canceled Jessica Jones before she and Hell Cat could get it on?

i saw her at Disneyland once, but i wasn't creepy, i just stared at her from the other side of the food court, sipping a beer, throwing out a 'look over here' vibe that was tangible and made the children around me cry, and admiring her jeans.

there were a few celebrities there that day, must have all come on a bus.

/call me!

Cut the guy some slack. It wasn't his fault the Twilight movies sucked, and he was fantastic in The Lighthouse.

they really screwed up by killing the villian the first season.  he was really incredible and anything after that was going to be a letdown.

I used to say that I would pay to listen to Krysten Ritter read the phone book but I guess that's not true because I will not be listening to this podcast.

Having said that, she wrote a book a little while ago, I read it, it's not great, but it's not terrible. It's very clear she wrote it with the intention of them making a movie starring her so if you read it and envision her as the main character it's pretty enjoyable

He's more like Superman in The Lighthouse. Batman never had a mermaid girlfriend.

But if they don't die, then there are no bodies in the pool and what would be the point of that?

I don't know anything about the book but yeah, the villain in the first season was the best. Sort of. But Trish/Hellcat turned out to be pretty awesome. They needed another season to get her off the raft. The other villains were sort of idiots.

I'm not sure why no one thought the series might be worth continuing, even if they made it more like a PI anthology series and made the super-power aspect a little more low key.  It's not like that formula isn't already tried and true.

She's stunning and she can act.  Whatever the issue was, I can't see it being ratings.

I think it was a legal thing. They canceled The Punisher and Daredevil too.

My guess: Marvel wanted to consolidate everything under Feige, which meant all the Marvel TV shows got the ax

Yeah, Kilgrave was *too good* of a villain. Really the whole first season was "too good", if that's possible. They blew their whole wad on it. There was nowhere to go but down. And the, worse, the next 2 seasons were *very boring*.

"Veronica Mars" (which "Jessica Jones" fairly obviously stole a lot from) had exactly the same problem. The first season was epic and perfect. Their was no way they could ever match it, and they didn't.

"Daredevil" was also a one-season wonder, thanks to having too good of a villain. Though looking back on that first season, it wasn't all that great. It was much too slow-paced. Still better than the subsequent seasons by a MILE, though.

Well, supposedly Daredevil (Netflix version) is coming back as Peter Parker's lawyer in the next Spiderman after the whole JJJameson reveal. Jessica Jones is also supposed to come back as a lesbian love interest... Supposedly.

Patterson only write the outlines, chapter summaries, and then let a writer do the heavy lifting.

Nah, she's gorgeous, in a unique way.

As for her acting ability...I don't know. She mostly gets by on presence and charm. Which is true of most actors, I suppose.
