And also helped save millions of hours in the kitchen by simplifying the making of pancakes, I give you Aunt Jemima!

No, wait.  Strike that.

Oh, so now they want to immortalize a disgusting Italian stereotype of a faceless corporation's imaginary mascot. In this day and age? Why not a real person of note with Italian heritage? Is Aunt Jemima getting a statue too? I swear some people are so damn ignorant.

Speaking of ignorant, let me introduce you to Ettore Boiardi (pronounced Boy-Ar-Dee), the Italian immigrant who founded the brand.

" Boiardi sold his products under the brand name "Chef Boy-Ar-Dee" because non-Italians could not manage the pronunciation,[5][6] including his own sales force: he was quoted as saying that "everyone is proud of his own family name, but sacrifices are necessary for progress"."

Why do you think Italian immigrants are disgusting?

What about chefs who fed American soldiers in the Korean war? Even if sometimes they had to use ingredients that were expired ...

Justice for Frank Costanza!

The company was founded by Italian immigrant Hector Boiardi in Milton, Pennsylvania, U.S., in 1938

Don't waste your time...Subtonic's either willfully ignorant (like some people) or trolling.

Here's a chef we can honor.  He doesn't need a statue though- he's getting an aircraft carrier (CVN-81)  named for him

If anything, hail inventors.  Let's honor the people who did so much to fundamentally change the world?

Why, you want to build a non-controversial symbol, you could start with Henry Ford.

Yep, Dorie Miller.  I only recently learned he was getting the next Ford-class after Enterprise, and it's a good thing
