Think

Blog name does not check out.

The news is regularly filled with stories of anarchists and angry mobs showing blatant disregard for America's artifacts and historical sites, desecrating these tributes to our long journey towards liberty and justice for all.

Oh ffs.

Ben thought this was the guy on the Quaker oatmeal box (william Penn, but Carson doesn't know that he was real) and noted that our strategic oats storage kept below has remained unharmed.

Obligatory. I just wonder why the good doctor loves Steve Cropper so much.

No references to Civ? If you build the Pyramids, they act as a granery in all your cities, or they used to. I don't have the latest version and DRTFA.

I thought it was a poor depiction of Waylon Jennings.

This is interesting. The Trump administration is really investing heavily into the heritage preservation/law and order angle.  This was strategy du juour in the 80s and 90s, but I don't think it's resonating that strongly this time around. They're putting all the eggs in this basket.  I would think a more optimal strategy on this would be to talk out of both sides of your mouth and imply law and order to the correct people while pretending to seriously "study" and "address" the causes and effects of systemic racism.

Seriously, Ben? Your history? Really? Are any of those statues really displaying your particular story? Other than to speak of your indenture to America?

If Ben Carson were on fire I would dress up like Lloyd Dobler from the film "Say Anything", get a boom box, go to where Ben Carson was writhing on the ground in flames, turn on the boom box and hold it over my head.  However, instead of the Peter Gabriel song "In Your Eyes" coming out of the boom box, the song would be "Fire Water Burn" by the Bloodhound Gang.

Then I would put the boom box down, take out a cigarette, lean down and light it from the flames on Carson's forehead....... AND I DON'T EVEN F*CKING SMOKE!!!!

/Obligatory for all Ben Carson grain elevator pyramid threads

To be fair, the pyramids were not grain elevators, they were silos.  The slaves were the grain elevators.

That is indeed an opinion. An abysmally stupid one that shouldn't be endorsed or published by anyone, however.

Those Jim Crow statues absolutely all need to go. They weren't built to commemorate anything. They were built to terrorize black people.

The only circumstance wherein such a foul object should be allowed to exist: It should be precisely and clearly marked for the purposes of being defaced and mocked. Such a thing should never exist for any other reason at all.

Haha, good point.  It is a very sleepy response.

If the Cold War had ended the way the American Civil War ended, 30 years later Berlin would start to have statues being erected memorialising members of the Stasi.

Yes.  His history.

He only mentioned the monuments to Founding Fathers and abolitionists.  We don't need to talk about the "other" stuff.

You're a monster!  If Ben Carson were on fire, I would immediately run over and piss on him.

Not the parts of him that were on fire, mind you, but I'd definitely piss on him.
