fark the airlines.  19 years ago, they experienced a catastrophic event which destroyed their business model. They survived on government bailouts. It happened again and all they learned was how to better beg for money.

Air travel should be restricted until Covid cases go way the fark down.

In the former case, we're simply greasing the wheels of capitalism. In the latter case, well that's socialism. Can't have that at all.

Well, maybe they shouldn't have wasted all their money on smart phones and booze and saved some of it for a rainy day.
