My orchestra teacher used to joke about the (ethnic) string quartet that had to take a break every 15 minutes to drain the saliva from their instruments.

"An increasingly vigilant social media infrastructure" is very benign sounding euphemism for the thought police. "Censorious" might have been a better term.

The campaign is considering relying more heavily on Parler, a relatively new social media app with about one million users, but with a policy of minimal content moderation.
...
The Trump campaign is also investing in its own mobile app, which enables both direct campaign communication and user data gathering, and has almost 800,000 downloads since launching in April.

So he wants to isolate himself from reality (even more) and only spew his bullshiat to people who are going to vote for him anyway?  I'm perfectly fine with that.

Got an easier answer: Trump's not smart enough to deal with media questions and criticism. So he just types out his mental diarrhea.

alternatively, "enforcing their own policies with respect to content that is intentionally misleading, hateful, or incites violence."  As Pubs are always eager to point out, companies can do whatever they feel like doing with respect to content.  Last I checked Twitter was not a part of the government.

That was a lot of words to say that Trump acts like a 10 year old child on Social Media and other presidents used different methods to reach voters.

Actually, Publishers and do whatever they want to with their content. Platforms cannot do so without becoming de facto publishers and opening themselves up to liability associated with the content they allow.

When Clinton played the sax on the Arsenio Hall show, of course that seems kind of lame now but at the time it was kind of cool for a Presidential candidate and appealed to young people. Remember, this was almost 30 years ago. Trump's rambling on Twitter is just pathetic even now.
