And in California.  Some guy knew he was positive, but didn't have any symptoms, so he went to the party and infected a guy who died: https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2020/07/02/us/california-thomas-macias-coronavirus/index.html

A friend who was at the party reached out to Macias to say he had coronavirus, and he was aware of the diagnosis when he attended the gathering but didn't think he could infect anyone because he had no symptoms, Lopez said.
"Our understanding is that a gentleman had called him and said 'hey I was at the party, I knew I was positive. I didn't tell anybody,'" Lopez said. "I think the gentleman was regretting not telling everybody, and he was calling people who were at the party to recommend they get tested."

Sorry I gave you a deadly disease, bro.  We cool?

I would've hoped my town was smarter, but seems not. People are getting lax now that infections have been under control for so long

A neighbor A few doors seemed like they were having a party last night - super loud music, lots of yelling over the music.  I had the ac and tv on loud to cover the noise, but I went to check 10 minutes later it was dead quiet

Seemed like the cops showed up but I couldn't tell for sure. After those other parties and outbreaks they are probably cracking down hard on anything too crazy

Will it get to the point where the majority of us will have to take action against these kinds of idiots? These people are driving this country off a cliff. They're gonna get us all killed, one way or another.

This was a house party consisting largely of people in their early twenties.  Doesn't sound like a lot of fundies were in attendance.

They need to treat them like they treated Mary Mallon.

How about this approach:

Won't work with the contact tracers?  Take a sample of the virus, sequence it.  Someone that you did not have contact with dies from the virus and the sequencing says their case came from you, you're guilty of felony murder.  (You're not responsible for direct spread, you're responsible for the cases you failed to prevent by finding those you spread it to.)

2020-07-02 11:17:59 AM
Don't want to cooperate with contact tracing?  Fine.  Your names will be aired on every local news broadcast and printed on the front page of all newspapers so the olds are informed and of course there should be a website naming names.  fark all you cootie carriers.

And yet, they mostly vote democrat and havn't voted R, nationally, since 2004. While locally, they are closely split between R/D, with the D holding a slight edge.

It's almost as if the 'Rona doesnt care if you suck donkey cock or eat elephant ass.

how is this not known or understood yet.  This is the greatest thing about corona, the large window of asymptomatic infection + easy to pass.

It is one of the best ways to win with mold on Plague Inc

/pretty sure it was mold.

Officials announced subpoenas will be issued to eight non-compliant party goers believed to have attended the June 17 party on Wednesday. Those who do not comply by Thursday face fines of $2,000 a day, officials said.

This is great, we'll fill our budget shortfalls in no time.

He knew he was positive and went anyway? JFC. If you can charge someone for knowingly infecting others with HIV, you can definitely charge someone for knowingly infecting others with Covid.

He's just trying to be anstisemitic without actually saying it. Rockland has the highest percentage population that are Jewish in the country. A significant portion being orthodox

Did not most state pass laws akin to this concerning intentional exposure to AIDS, STDs, etc. Seems this might fit under such a statute.

This, it is all about this for me and this is exactly why i stay the fook home, and go out as little as possible , likely for the next 2 full years.

most people are stupid narrow minded short sighted selfish chimp brains that are not ready for life among  millions of civilized peopled.
When i go out my front door the singular fact of reality is: One me, million of them. I can't see myself as so above all that that millions of other people are not taken into account fore my personal actions.

I do not go out to the park/nature trails for pictures any more, even when it might in the moment be reasonable to do so because there are so few people around.
I can't do that, becasue i know the reality is, middle of the bell seeing me out and about doing anything, just makes it ok for them to go out and about and do anything too.
More or less i must set the example for the millions and millions of 5 year old capacity thinking, that will only be able to copy what they see without any contextual understanding of the moment.

I knew the real problem was going to be the exulted individual POV over the body of us as a cultural whole POV.
I do what i want, I, me, myself, my wishes, my desires, my needs, and nothing else in the brain, just the one not the millions.

So it is that once you see the millions and how your behavior can easily unintentionally influence them. You can't unknown this.

FTA, closing:

"Outside experts have called on the WHO to release that data. Both outside experts and WHO officials have acknowledged that detecting asymptomatic spread would be really difficult, and just because scientists haven't seen something occurring often doesn't mean it's not happening."

How does one know if they are asymptomatic or presympotmatic?  testing and time.

but testing didn't stop this idiot.

The mutation rate is too low for that to be a reliable indicator. It would only work to rule someone out (if the two samples were significantly different).

THIS, THIS, THIS.
While I'd like to charge them, that's a long involved and expensive process. In addition, the person gains marter status to right wingers. Instead, make a few examples by suing the shiat out of people who know they have it and don't quarantine. Make them take FINANCIAL responsibility for their actions. Hospital bills, loss of income, pain and suffering, the whole ball of wax.

California recinded laws regarding knowingly passing HIV. California is also run by idiots.
