I have never ever seen one of these. It looks cool, but no one is going to buy one over a Tesla Model S, sorry.

I think American car manufacturers are going into long term decline, as the UK car manufacturers did. These guys just aren't trusted to build decent cars anymore, and maybe not even SUVs.

GM, Ford, and Chrysler made such absolutely shiatty cars in the 70s and even into the 90s (Chevy Cobalt, Chevy Cruz, gag me) that they have damaged their reputation forever with anyone who isn't a Boomer and didn't grow up when they were actually going concerns.

There's a Buick SUV in my neighborhood, and it looked fairly cool and was small and I thought, hey, that's not bad. Yeah, it's a late model SUV and it. is. trashed. Upon closer inspection, the build quality is crap. Maybe Buick had decent build quality ten years ago, I don't know, but they are supposed to be in a near-luxury segment, competing with Mercedes Benz and Audi and no way does any MB or Audi SUV have rubber shiat around the windows and wheel wells. Just hideous.

That those newbies who don't know any better. I'm a 70s kid and grew up watching Blaxploitation movies. Cadillacs and Continentals only, and it's even better when they have the continental tire kit and suicide doors.

Oh I did too and I don't disagree that pimps were way cooler in the 70s.

Pretty much everyone was way cooler in the 70s.

I'm still pissed at GM for dropping the Fleetwood and Impala marques so they could build more SUV's. The last couple years of their production they were quite nice cars.

Of course, nothing compares with the classics. :)

Buick?
Have never seen one not being driven by someone over 50.

All the annoying kids have Benz, Audi, BMW and Range Rover SUVs

I like my used RAV4, for <1/4 the cost

Must be nice to have so much money that a car costing north of $80k looks like a reasonable choice.

I wonder how they'll hold up as they age. Gonna be a heck of a bargain if it's as reliable as the old town car (then again that was a dinosaur of a car, so it didn't have much that could go wrong).

Yawn.  People have been saying this since the 1950s.  I rent four cars a month for work and have driven a ton of cars.  Chrysler is crap now that Fiat bought it.  I'd rather drive a Nissan Versa than the nicest Fiat.  Those things are underpowered, plastic pieces of shiat.  GM is decent.  Ford is making pretty good cars, as is Hyundai/Kia.

Not too surprising.  I suspect most new construction houses also go to that demographic.  They are done raising their kids and are at their peak earning years.

I've been in the most recent Continental.  It's very nice and I'd thought about buying one used given the steep depreciation and my love of long road trips.  But yeah, it's not what the market wants.  Any it's not a halo either.

But THIS is my favorite Continental.

Our household is rocking Ford, Hyundai and Kia products and they're all incredibly reliable and competent at their intended uses. And inexpensive to maintain.

Don't laugh. Think of how much money you could save in repair bills after an accident, since they'd just bounce off each other.

I actually liked the looks of it.  I have never actually checked one out though.  It looked like it might be a good road trip car.
