If they require ballots to be notarized. Who's paying the notary fee?

"Alabama tried to require absentee voters to produce copies of identification records and notarized ballots, and also, essentially prohibited curbside voting. "

A notary fee to vote is a poll tax. And requiring a notary to see your ballot as you sign it? Get out of here with that.

Any chance SCOTUS recognizes the gravity of their mistake in rolling back the voting rights act and just says fark it and reinstitutes it?

Yes it's a poll tax but they don't see your ballot, they see the envelope you put your ballot in. You never sign the actual ballot so that the ballot itself technically remains a secret ballot.

In CA we sign the envelope. It helps process them quickly.

No, and hell no. Roberts had been trying to kill the VRA since he was a political hack in the Reagan White House. It was probably his number one goal after he got his seat on the SC.

No, in their opinion that was their justification.  They said it was no longer needed.
