Bennie Crabtree: This is huge news.

In an alternate universe it would be.  In this universe, its Tuesday, and this will go nowhere.

Still, it is absolutely the right thing to do, and I would be horrified if someone didn't step up to do it.  Because, to quote someone a lot braver than I am, "right matters."

This might be a better way: impeach others but not Trump. That one, the senate won't take on. But if they impeach DeVos, Barr, Pompeo, they can chip away at Trump. And, it's more effective, since Trump isn't actually doing anything. It's the Barrs and the Pompeos who are creating the shiat.

Also, watch how Trump won't lift a finger to help, so others will see how Trump will stab people in the back.

Nixon's AG was arrested correct?   Why are we impeaching a private citizen?  If he broke the law, *arrest him.*  He has no political immunity.

This is what bothers me most about all of this.  It's all pageantry and palace intrigue.   All evidence we're in a post rule of law age.

His farkery with the Mueller Report was over a year ago. It was last May when he taunted Pelosi by asking her if she brought her handcuffs.

Impeach Trump again.  Let the Senators who are up for re-election explain why they are okay with doing favors for a country that puts bounties on U.S. service members.

Anyone with the ability to make arrests, seeing as being powerful should not make you immune to the rule of law.

This is what bothered me about Ted Lieu's measure to start using inherent contempt the other day.

It's already enshrined in law and has been held up by the courts, just farking get on with it already.

I like what he is saying, but I'm a little worried about him.
He doesn't seem well, well focused, and his Golem grip on Mordor's ring is troubling.

Good work, but take care of yourself as well. Don't Cummings on us!

I'd assume any United State Attorney with enough evidence to convene a grand jury.  Seems to me there's more than enough evidence to prove obstruction of justice.

But here's the thing, the Justice Department is as corrupt as the police shooting people in the face for peacefully assembling.

Having an impeachment trial going on on election day (which is how the timing of this would probably go) is not a good look politically, plus it's borderline pointless if Biden wins (and at the same time slightly reduces the chance that he does so).

/he deserves to be impeached, of course
//but in the real world, this is a (mildly) bad move

When Mitchell was arrested he'd already long since resigned as Attorney General. This is a different bag of shiat. Impeach, remove from office (and prevent from ever holding office again).

Then arrest.

Continuing with his off-topic ramblings: ugh, I was slightly confused - I'd mis-remembered and thought that "Blackboard  Monitor" Vimes shared his first name with "King Killer" Vimes, when the latter's first name was actually "Suffer-Not-Injustice"

/ They do share their nickname, of course

They closed the red light district in Amsterdam.  The USA has to keep the light burning, if only to attract new "business" deals in the Quid Pro Quo district.
