Well obviously Trump isn't going to denounce his base.
They're literally the only people on Earth who like him

You know, a competent leader would have looked to address this on racial and economic levels.

Racists gonna racist.

Compare his horror at a few statues being pulled down vs. black people being murdered.

The protesters, the president said, were being treated unfairly. The majority of them, he insisted, were there for a good reason-they did not want to see the statue of Lee removed.

That's not actually a good reason.

The Confederacy's intellectual brass was and is vastly overrated. Any success they had was basically the Union taking them for granted for the first 18 months or so.

Even today, go look at how Union soldiers are portrayed and how the CSA's were. The latter liked the glitz and glamour of war, based on the pictures of them dressed to the nines in uniform, but were absolute shiat about the business and strategy of conducting war.

Idiots' causes have idiot supporters. When America has enough idiots voting, it ends up with a President like Donald Trump who will then support the idiots and their causes.

Lee only really stands out as worth two shiats because the Union command was so dogshiat for so long. If Grant had been in charge in 1861, odds are pretty good the war would have ended much sooner.

Every single day something new comes out about how incompetent, inept, and corrupt Trump is. Everyday single day the Senate looks the other way and pretends it's not happening.

For the first time in my life this November I am going to blindly vote Democrat straight down the ticket. I don't care who it is, I don't care what they're running for, they got my vote. These people are shiat and they need to be flushed down the toilet

They ducked into the nearest room with a television-a small room on the ground floor used as the office of the White House physician, then Ronny Jackson-to watch how the speech was being received.

This is Nixon. He too was more concerned over public opinion than being prez. If you can find the Our Nixon docu (Pluto has it) you will see his NPD as well.

I looked something up, and I can't find a single battle of significance that Lee won after Stonewall Jackson was killed by his own men.   You have to wonder how much of his reputation was based on the quality of his subordinates

"Abraham Lincoln was treated supposedly very badly. But nobody's been treated badly like me."

The reason you're "treated badly" is bc no president has been as profoundly stupid as you. The press is merely reporting the things you do and say. Want to be treated better? Act better.

Also, try to go more than two sentences without discussing yourself. You can't even discuss Lincoln without making it about you.

I've read that most of Lee's early success was because of Stonewall Jackson. After Jackson was died in 1863, Lee had much less success.

It's important to know what you can command and what you can't. I'm best at defending a fortification. The only attacks I can command well are made using Greek phalanxes. But, I can hire people who can do the sieges or the field battles, etc. That's the biggest problem I've seen with tacticians. They cannot admit that there is stuff they need help on.

/ a big factor in Lee's downfall was the Union's repeating firearms.

As good a time as any to remind people that Robert E Lee denounced that idea of statues of Robert E Lee.
