Well, not really. Even the neutral-by-law BBC had to run a front-page "fact checking the PM's speech" article pointing out that most of Boris' promises represented either pre-existing spending or reallocated spending rather than any new spending.

I would like to submit a headline making fun of Boris' call for Brits to go out on their doorstep and clap for bankers, but genuinely that's in the Trump zone of "you can't make fun of it, it's already too absurd".
