Republicans told to wear masks in House panel or be barred from speaking breathing.

I second the motion.

Look, if you really want to open things up and return to normal, WEAR A FARKING MASK. It's that simple. Lead by example and get your dumbass followers to do the same.

I'm guessing Donnie was born without either one of those qualities.  Trust funds cause birth defects.

So are their voters, acting like spoiled children over "socialism" or being told to wear a farking mask in public.

I have no respect for these people or their philosophies.  They're throwbacks to at least 100 years ago.

It's not necessarily the First Amendment.

For example: Congress has exempted itself from a broad section of laws. I wouldn't be surprised if a Congress Critter couldn't technically commit sexual harassment

Just your daily reminder that GOP politicians and GOP-controlled states have been in a mad dash to end mask requirements/social distancing/quarantines/other public health measures ever since they found out that black people are more likely to get covid-19 than white people, and that black covid-19 patients are more likely than white covid-19 patients to die from the disease.

And as another reminder, anyone who does not want to wear a face-covering in public is literally a Nazi. No, I'm not being hyperbolic -- the heavily-armed protesters who stormed the Michigan statehouse to demand the "right" to jeopardize other people's health and lives, did so while waving swastika flags and carrying protest signs with Third Reich slogans, including at least one who didn't even bother to translate "Arbeit Macht Frei" into English.

"He added that representatives have complied with social distancing rules and did not want to hurt anybody."

Here's the thing about that.
Even if you think you're social distancing, things happen.
I have been out in the world and been "distant," and yet people come around blind corners, or hop out of cars, or somehow get much closer to others than they expected.

That's when masks are still effective. When you can't be 100% socially distant.

I think the "Sergeant at Arms" is a do-nothing job at this point, its probably awarded to someone connected so they can collect a nice pay check.

This is a foreign concept to many American conservatives - thinking of others.

On the other hand, Canada, with its seemingly interminable reputation for politeness, some of it well earned, it has been fairly natural to be considerate and wear a mask. The results have been in stark contrast to some US states where resistance to common sense directives issued by a bunch "Poindexters and liberals".

No, children are quite often capable of empathy. Children can be taught that sharing is good thing. Children learn. The GOP is more like bacteria, and not the good kind that helps you poop. Mindless, destroying everything they touch, no drive other than consuming resources for themselves and laying waste to everything. They should be dealt with just like bacteria.
