He won't, because he'll go to prison if he drops out. The GOP has too much invested in election fraud, anyway.

I don't want that at all.  My ideal scenario:

1) definitive proof he borrowed millions from the Russians
2) find out he is completely broke
3) loses in historic landslide and bring down the Republican party with him
4) arrested in a no-knock warrant in Florida and dragged out in his jammies crying like a biatch
5) sentenced to the rest of his life in prison
6) than dying on the shiatter

It is more whining to appeal to his base who apparently loves the persecution complex.

You can't be forced to run for elected office.  If he nopes out, there is absolutely nothing that could be done to make him stay in.

Now, the thing to look for is the date he drops out (assuming he does, which I personally wouldn't bet on).  To prepare ballots, most states have a  rather early lead time for submitting the name of a party's nominee.  Usually right after the last convention (I want to say W had his convention a little late once and technically he wasn't the nominee when the GOP submitted his name to those states).  If Trump were to drop out after those deadlines, you might have a situation where the GOP couldn't replace him on the ballot, and the Republican candidate would have to resort to a write-in campaign.

If Trump does lose, he might try and make a Nixon-Ford style deal with Pence and retire before the inauguration with a secret promise of a pardon in his pocket. "You can't fire me; I quit!"

Pence strikes me as (exactly) the kind of guy who would love to be President, even if only for a few lame-duck months, and would promise all kinds of things for the opportunity.

Thing is, nothing would actually compel Pence to issue the pardon.  That power is entirely at the discretion fo the President.  Pence is enough of an unctuous twatwaffle that he could agree to the deal, Trump resigns, and then Pence just looks at him blankly while Mother jills one out in the corner.

Mike Pence thinks god chose him.  If Trump offered him that deal, he'd take it as an offer from god, using the "imperfect vessel" of Trump, and he'd jump at it.  God's will be done and all that.

I kind of hope he waits until after accepting his party's nomination so they have to scramble to put up someone else.

If polls look the same (or worse) for Trump by mid October, things are going to get farking crazy.

And if he does lose, I would expect something, from him, twice as bad as anything we have seen between election day and inauguration.  Like pardons for every criminal he can let out of prison (restricted only by time).  Or killing some funding or organization that causes instant and lasting harm far beyond anything he has done.  Or some kind of Treasure looting.

I don't know.  I'm sure right-wingers think a Biden win will be elation for anyone who disagrees with them (as it is *all* about the emotion with them) but they couldn't be more wrong.  It will be slight relief then constant worry about what the fark Trump is going to do to make things as bad as possible for almost three months.

This is what I"m thinking. In fact, that could be the "deal" he makes: drop out, resign, Pence takes over and immediately pardons Trump of all his crimes.

This wouldn't absolve him of his state-level crimes, though. I wonder if Cuomo would pardon Trump just to ensure Trump resigned from office and never ran again. Might be worth asking the question, at least.

His ego and self-image are the most important things in his life. Even if he thinks he is almost certain to lose, he will keep hoping for the chance of an upset. If he drops out, there is a 100% certainty he will be a loser. It's not going to happen.

Here is what I HOPE will happen...  Going on the assumption that he hates to lose, he will drop out, just so he can blame the GOP for lack of support, the Democrats for being mean, and his staff for being a bunch of losers who couldn't even get covfefe right.

Then he will proceed to pardon every asshole that he possibly can, and write a series of executive orders in an attempt to dismantle as much of the government as possible before he leaves.

Then he'll sell Alaska to Russia for $1.

This. Trump is a traitor, and he's absolutely owned by those he betrayed America to. He will do what his master tells him and nothing else.

That said... Putin knows that after his little stunt in 2016, the Democrats are now going to occupy the place of being anti-Russia in all things for real in the way the Republicans claimed to. It's going to be 100% Putin Delenda Est for every Democratic president for a long time.

I can imagine Putin hanging Reek out to dry for that reason. The more catastrophic the GOPer losses this fall, the more solid the ground the Democrats will have to go after Russia. And Trump is taking what was going to be a bad year for the party of treason and making it into a probable bloodbath.

He will stroke out, shiat his pants, drool, but they will not let us know about it.

They call Mitch in and he will do the same thing as Tony Soprano did to Christopher.

Then the GOP will spin it that he had a heart attack or passed while making love to Melania or helping Barron with his AP Trig classes.
