I've figured out Trump's end game!  It came to me in the night:

He needs an honorable way out.  So ideally for him would be surviving some close call health event or assassination attempt, but being too ill to continue.  Nobody would fault him for having to withdraw after something like that.  And it would give him sympathy which might shield him from those nasty demoncrat prosecutors.

Now, surviving assassinations is a risky thing to go through and difficult to pull off, so that leaves him with a health scare.  Maybe a fake heart attack or brain tumor.  Cancer?  Everybody hates cancer!  Something that can't be verified from the outside.

If only he knew some unscrupulous doctors to help with his scheme.

from your photo of Larry, the white cat correct? He looks ok, just stressed. Cats go mentally inward with change and stress, it can take months for them to come back out. For eating: I would use canned pate style food that you can add a bit of water to. Stir until it's a thick slurry. This is the easiest way to rehydrate a cat. You can also use chicken baby food. The tiny jars that say just chicken, possibly with gravy. Add a bit of water to that. Most cats love it.

I would suggest ask the vet to run blood work based on these symptoms...

once you have labwork on other kitty you will know more. Some cats can be very picky about their food. My ancient Burmese will only eat two types of the $$$$$ pate in pouches. You may have to get a small variety to see what they prefer.

For his eye watering: most likely feline herpes. It flares with stress like with people. You can give lysine treats which help the immune system fight back. Otherwise rinse daily with a damp washcloth.

if he's still not eating you can "force feed" him. The baby food is great for that. Put some on your finger, open his mouth and wipe food on the roof of his mouth. Wait a few moments, repeat. This will often get stressed cats to eat.

you can also ask the vets office if they have a/d food. It is for recovery patients, but has a great consistency for hand feeding. Having a couple cans on hand my be handy.

But there is no harm in giving a cat an IV hydration right? I don't understand why this wasn't done.

unless the cat is dehydrated, adding extra fluids can overtax other systems and add more stress.

Also, he seemed to stay sharp up to the end.  I suppose even with half his wits, he was smarter than most people.  It is horrible when someone becomes someone else mentally before they die physically.

Morning.  Mr. Dallymo has a minor hand surgery today so I took the day off to drive him to and from.  "It's just a local anesthetic, I can drive myself."  Uh, no.  I bought some new facemasks off of Etsy and they're beautiful, so I'm going to sport one for the waiting room.  "Who's that mysterious woman over there, in that fabulous mask, reading that September 2008 issue of 'Good Housekeeping'?"  It's sort of a demure floral print; if I really wanted to wow them I'd wear the one with the gorgeous blue and gold cloisonné look.  They wouldn't even know what hit them.

All of the continuing healing vibes to Larry and Taylor, and Hope is such a great knowledge resource.

In local news, a couple of days ago one of the few remaining Vancouver strip clubs made Fark news due to an outbreak of COVID. According to local news, like all businesses the club submitted a plan to the Public Health Office detailing how they would maintain social distancing between patrons and staff as a condition for reopening.

To nobody's surprise, the plan was bullshirt and they completely ignored it. So, they've been shutdown again.

Is there a Patron Saint for Finding Useful Stuff Along The Side of the Road?  Been making a lot of cool scores of late.  A pair of broken glasses that had intact nose grips that nicely replaced the ones that were missing on my current glasses, a intact pair of sunglasses, 3 LED flashlights, and a camo backpack that nicely replaced the one I had that was wearing out.
