I just got a new mask at my bar, but yeah social distancing would be hard without the patio. Life is weird but back to 1% positive test here. Good luck everyone.

All I know is that it's something something fuel injected and stepping out over the line.

After that I've got nothin', despite the fact that this is my avenue of perambulation.

This is how I was able to tell that someone who doesn't live in NJ wrote this headline.

stopped in the thread specifically to disparage the use of Highway 9 over Route 9, but I see that work has been satisfactorily completed.
Shore towns gonna be biatching about the bar rule, but they shouldn't have been open yet anyways. Can't imagine how quiet Beach Haven will be with no clubs open. ~almost~ wish I still lived on LBI.

Ocean city doesn't have any bars... so I guess it should still be okay. Gonna be there in two weeks trying like hell to stay away from everyone.

It's a terrible idea opening up indoor anything.

I know in philly they are supposed to open this weekend along with indoor dining and gyms and such. But we're also now mandatory facemasks indoors and fully expect that it'll get paused where it's at now.

I feel bad for the people on unemployment that need to return to work to support their household. Me having to dine outside? Not so much.  It's not about me.

In 2002 when SARS was spreading throughout Asia, facemasks became a fashion trend and that mindset helped contain the spread of the disease.  We should have done that instead of making them (or the lack of them) a statement of political ideology.

Yeah, bars are the weak link. It's a social place by its very nature, unless it's some awesome deserted dive bar. On top of that, alcohol means lowered inhibitions, which means people will stop thinking about safety, and will start falling back to "normal" before the night has gone too far.

So it's not entirely surprising that bars are the weak spot...

What most people think of a jersey accent is actually just the miscreant New Yorkers who come down every summer.
Philly sends their fair share, but the worst have always been the New Yorkers

Trump made masks a political issue. If you wear one you don't have faith in him to keep you safe apparently.

I've been wearing a mask since April, a month before Illinois mandated them.

NJ, like any other state, has both democrats and republicans.  The only people that dont take the mask and social distance thing, like every other state, are republicans.  No clue why a global pandemic became a partisan issue, but here we are.
