Willard is apparently *only* 86 years old.  I had assumed that he was pushing 100.

Don't you think if Willard Scott were actually still alive and approaching 100, he'd be announcing it on tv?

That's from the Early 1960's when Willard Scott, who was then a local DC media personality and the local "Bozo the Clown" until it went off the air was hired by the local McDonald's franchise as the face of its "i'll swallow your SOUL!!!" campaign  which was a runaway success because it had parents streaming to McDonald's with their kids in a vain hope it would make the nightmares stop..for both of them

Lemme get this straight - the great, great grandson of this woman demands compensation from Quaker because...why?  "She wasn't properly compensated."

I haven't a clue what my great, great grandmother's name is.  I'd be hard pressed to name my great grandmother, let alone 'great, great.'

From an arbitrary Google search:

http://www.scencyclopedia.org/sce/entries/harrington-anna-short/
..the Quaker Oats Company, which hired Harrington to travel nationwide portraying "Aunt Jemima" and ultimately made her a national celebrity. Chauffeured or flown by jet around the country, Harrington served Aunt Jemima-brand pancake mix at store openings and other public events, living a lifestyle that eluded most blacks and whites. By the time of her death, the former sharecropper owned two homes and lived in an area occupied by the black elite of Syracuse..

ROFL, effin blow me.  She died rich.

Yeah, but her great-great-grandson isn't rich, so it's obviously the fault of whoever has money.

Yeah, he can go f*ck himself.  Reparations for... what?  Making his great-great-grandmother rich beyond her wildest dreams in exchange for using her likeness?  F*ck off.

Anna Harrington was a recast of Nancy Green, who was paid so little that she worked as a housekeeper well into her 70s.

I'm wondering how two billion dollars was the figure that they came up with. That's like a million dollars per year for the last two thousand years? Doesn't that seem a bit steep for a frivolous lawsuit?
