'Obvious' tag killed by bounty hunters.

2020-06-29 8:41:25 AM
Of course he did. If he didn't know he'd have bragged about being the only person that knew anything about it

2020-06-29 8:43:05 AM
I think there's a real chance that the NSC briefed him on it and he still didn't know.

That's how f*cked up this all is.

Yep. And that would mean he is either too dumb to keep multiple things in his brain at one time and/or didn't consider it important enough to note.

If nobody does anything about it, it doesn't matter that he knew.

"I didn't know" and "I'm not responsible" are kinda becoming the signatures of your administration Donnie.

2020-06-29 8:50:57 AM
He was told, for certain. But he might not have known because who cares what happens all the way over there in brown people land? Certainly not trump.

2020-06-29 9:16:59 AM
I'll be it comes down to he was too farking lazy to read his briefing. They joke about it, but I think he really is your first illiterate President.

2020-06-29 9:30:53 AM
Of course he did. Right now the GOP are staying silent and hoping something else comes up in the news to distract everyone for this to blow over. We can't let that happen.

Possible. Also, possible that when he heard "bounty" his ears perked up and he wondered if his family could get a taste of that action themselves.

When he heard about it - he was joking or being sarcastic.

You'll get confirmation if he stone walls on this.

He was told, and he was given it to him in a written brief I still kind of believe him when he says he didn't know.

You can lead a Trump to info, but you can't make him think.

I read it as an observation that as long as the Republican Party remains complicit then Trump will not feel consequences.

The Republican Party has made themselves an accessory to this crime.

2020-06-29 9:55:45 AM
So what? Not like anyone will do anything about it. Republicans have spent decades lording over us with that holier than though bullshiat, claiming to be the pro-life, moral compass, love the troops, fiscal conservatism party. Then they elect this asshole and nothing he does - no matter how many people die or how many lies he tells - nothing matters anymore. Rule of law is dead and republicans killed it.

Are you a republican? You're a traitor. Period. *spits*

If we found out tomorrow that he was getting a bounty on every American who died of Covid-19, it wouldn't surprise me a bit.

However, if he had been actually trying to kill Americans with Covid-19, he'd probably have developed a cure by now, because he's that bad at actually doing things.

He was sitting there wondering why the army guys were talking about Russia giving the taliban paper towels, but he was to afraid of looking stupid to ask.

2020-06-29 9:58:28 AM
So let's assume the GOP will try and clear Trump by pointing out that he wasn't specifically told about it (I mean sure it was said aloud in the room but not directly told to Trump, and yes it was in the briefs but it was highlighted in yellow and everyone knows important stuff gets highlighted in orange) what are the odds anything happens to Russia now that we do know?

My guess Trump "talks" to Putin and believes him when he says he didn't do it. And the GOP then tries to criticize Dems for using soldiers deaths for political gain. Any takers?

So you're saying Trump definitely ripped up and ate that document?

2020-06-29 10:00:46 AM
Trump is a great genius that doesn't know anything about what may or may not have happened.

He can totally do the job he isn't doing but Obama and the democrats and the deep state are all powerful so he can't.

Answer: It's REALLY farked up. Like to such a degree that it finally puts to rest where Trump stands.

Because this actually happened. And he refused, and STILL refuses to take action.

Yesterday, the pundits were saying that "He was tough on Russia! He imposed sanctions." Yeah, right. Only after very long delays, when he had no other options. After he ran out of excuses for delays. And that was years ago. To point that out now, like it's some sort of defense for THIS situation is disingenuous at best.

In this case, very clear action should have been taken the instant that it was known. But it wasn't.

And here's the part that should REALLY piss everyone off:

It's not really the kind of story most non-Fox news outlets would run unless they had some fairly serious reassurance that it was true. Two independent sources in this case, both (we assume) in a position to be able to know. It's not like Republicans haven't intentionally tried to destroy credibility with false leaks before.

2020-06-29 10:01:27 AM
If he saw it and continued to push pro-Russia policies, he's a traitor to those he's supposed to serve as commander in chief

If no one told him about it than he's a failure as a leader who either hired wholly incompetent people or is such a massive idiot that they don't trust him with sensitive information.

Given the op's shtick is "The GOP did something bad? Why did the Democrats allow this to happen!? Let's complain about them instead!" I think it's safe to say his tune hasn't changed

I mean, I'd take a different approach. If he knew or not has legal implications, so let those play out behind the scenes. In public? Take him to task. Now that you know, Mr. President, what actions are you prepared to take?

Then the moment he finally appears to be taking this scandal seriously, pivot back to his mishandling of covid. Dude's on thin ice. Make him farking tapdance.

Ab-so-farking-lutely.

It would be easy to find somebody to fall on their sword and say they screwed up by not printing the bounty in 30 point underlined, bold type circled with gold Sharpie in the Presidential Daily Briefing. Then Trump could say he looks at so much important information every single day, and can't be expected to personally deal with every single issue, and we'll get to the bottom of this. Then they find another patsy to take responsibility.

But noooo. No condemnation, no action, and a still-open invitation for Putin to join the G7 (8?).

Same thing with the "white power" video. How hard would it have been to say, oops he didn't hear that part, but we deleted it right away and we're sooooo sorry, we condemn racist bullshiat.

But noooo. Intentional.

This was in March? I imagine the morning briefing was Trump sitting under his sun lamps having various staffers giving him a manicure and pedicure and spray tanning him while his chief of staff meekly reads out the news on the daily update.

-Sir, virus numbers are up again overnight, the stock market is down nearly 1000 points, and worse, it seems the Russians have been actively paying to kill our troops in Afghanistan...

-*Blugh* (sound of half-chewed hamberder being spewed out) I don't care about any of that *spittle flying* TELL ME ABOUT THE NUMBERS! How many people watched my coronavirus press conference!? It's the bigliest hour on TV every week! I'm winning the ratings, you know, people love me!

-But sir, this is important...

-THE NUMBERS!!!! *loud flatulence and groaning noises* *To manicurist* Not so hard on the pinky toe down there, you know I'm sensitive. And where is my hair guy!? Mmm, I haven't seen you around here before, why turn around and let Don see you from behind, mmmm...*grease dripping down jowls*

-But sir...

-Get the fark out of here you annoying twerp! Whatever it is just tell Kushner, he'll take care of it. Leave me with my ladies!

I don't know why you are trying to make this partisan. My statement speaks for itself. If no one does anything about it, it doesn't matter that he knew.

This has nothing to do with politics and everything to do with the lack of accountability for powerful people we see in this country. We're looking at total institutional corruption and people would rather resort to partisan fingerpointing instead of dealing with the real problem.
