lindalouwho: I didn't watch South Park until someone told me that the same character dies in every episode, I thought that was hilarious.

You know who else died in every episode...

no, this! (NSFW, oh course)

kenny is the only one amongst coon and friends who is immortal. because his parents were in some mystical cult when he was born. every day kenny dies he is literally reborn. also, this is the voice of kenny without his orange jacket muffling him.

for whatever reason "explaining" "oh god they killed kenny!" with a superhero origin story was something i liked.

That roaring sound you just heard?

That was the joke doing a low pass over your head.

dude i farkied you in deep red in pol for a reason. but you don't need to be a jerk when we're discussing farking cartoons.

unless the totality of your personality is "jerk" and you have no other settings. then i guess you were just born that way...

i'll try not to hold it against you. i'm a big enough person to look at jerks with deep pity instead of burning hatred...

kdawg7736: Back when South Park was a whole lot better.

I think that them getting to the point where they could make an episode in about a week really changed things.  The early episodes feel far more timeless, and I think hold up fairly well.  Now that they can crank out an episode in a week (literally: see the documentary "6 Days to Air"), they can base them around something that's "current", and you have to kind of strain to remember what that was all about a few years later.

Yeah, you can put me down as another person who enjoyed Kenny's immortality finally being paid off with a backstory. Mysterion lives!
