UNC_Samurai: chitownmike: UNC_Samurai: A lot of streamers moved to Mixer because Twitch, like Youtube, is piss-farking-poor at customer service.  Copyright takedowns, inconsistent applications of rules, customer service that makes Niantic look good.

Aw, they wouldn't let you use their service to violate copyright laws. You poor baby

You don't have to be a streamer to recognize a broken system.

So because you don't agree with the law it's okay to ignore it? You probably think it's okay for you to walk into a museum and steal a poster of your favorite painting.

This sucks because the tech behind Beam Mixer is honestly really good.  There's a lot less delay when streaming.

UNC_Samurai: And to cut the willful ignorance off at the knees:

Valve owns and publishes the game DotA2.
Valve's own DotA2 Twitch stream was flagged for a copyright violation for using DotA2's in-game audio.

There is no defensible argument for that level of overzealous copyright protection.

I'll do you one better..

Footage of the launch of DM-2 from NASA's youtube channel was the victim of a takedown by NatGeo.. because NatGeo at some point had broadcasted NASA's footage.. nevermind that NASA footage, by charter, is public domain to begin with.

So the choices are now to put all your personal profile info into the open with you streamer profile, or possible moderation by someone who identifies as a deer.
