Mushrooms pair naturally with cheese... they're both earthy, and earthy flavors compliment each other

I don't like mac & cheese if it's been baked and has a crunchy top.  I prefer it to be smooth & creamy like when you do it in a pot.

Also, people who call mushrooms "space food" are just weird.

Oh I would eat that. Maybe sub the chorizo with bacon since I have bacon on hand. But yeah that sounds good.

Sounds easy enough to make without the mushrooms, and delicious otherwise, so I'll probably try it out. I really can't stand mushrooms though, the taste triggers my gag reflex. I've found some types edible though I don't really enjoy them, but button mushrooms especially are nauseating. They will not stay in my stomach.

All you mushroom haters are an embarrassment to the Shire.  I would eat this for breakfast, lunch and dinner if I wasn't already thirty pounds overweight.

Yeah, as a ground meat product chorizo doesn't exactly get crispy.  It does burn but still stays soft.

Chorizo, and many other ground meat products, can develop a lovely Maillard crust if you cook them in a hot enough skillet. In most cases medium heat is probably a little low for that, though.

fark yes x1000! Except substitute the crimini for a sauteed combo of king trumpet and brown beech. Get fancy with the cheeses. Maybe roast half the garlic. It's a pandemic. Let's get farked up on wine and elevate the food, already.

I... no, that's kind of a hard sell. hard pass.

I love cheese. I adore mushrooms (no not that farking canned soup, you savage.)

but you don't put cheese on something delicate (Narrator: well, until you do.)

I grew out of most of my food dislikes. I was a picky eater as a kid. I didn't like sauce on spaghetti. I would eat the sauce and the noodles, just didn't want them combined. I grew out of that early enough. I didn't like raw tomatoes then either. Number 1 of my dislikes was and still is mushrooms. Love tomatoes now. We are growing some this summer. I have embraced a lot of foods I disliked, but still can't stand almost all mushrooms.
