(Reuters)   American Airlines CEO says it is 'hard' to avoid furloughs, since if they don't they might see their bonuses drop and that must be avoided at all costs ... okay, so maybe he didn't say the last part. Out loud, anyway   (reuters.com) divider line

Well, Mitch McConnell rejected the Democratic Party plan to hold bailout funds only for companies who protected employees below director level.  Instead he wanted the wealthy and directors and C-level employees to get the money.  And his base are cheering their job losses to thunderous applause.

They need to temporarily nationalize airfare until covid calms down. My father flew from Cleveland  and the flights were completely full. They are full because their goal is not the safety of their customers or employees but profit.

The same American Airlines selling out flights without social distancing and not enforcing its mask policy on its own planes?  Screw those guys.

The only thing they did change with the virus was that they got rid of the beverage service.  Rather convenient that the only thing they changed is the thing that saves them $30 per flight.
